  1. PS3 is the better machine if you need all the power of it? If you want a console purely to play games and easy contact with mates online the 360 is a clear winner. The Wii is a completely different beast. I wouldn't say it's for kids only but it is more of a pick up a play party game type machine.
  2. I'd like to echo this. A big marketing push was made by the club promoting these 'special' programmes and all we actually got for twice the normal price was a programme half the thickness with a shiny stiff cover. They are not even limited edition as your going to reprint them and sell them in the club shop!
  3. A top drawer forward/poacher(and another strong back up if I'm allowed to be greedy), Bouma back fit and healthy, a RB back up and then really be greedy and say creative/flair central midfielder and were looking at a quality top 4 side.
  4. Ok update: Just finished the level after looking for tips online! Basically you must ignore the onscreen joystick directions and just move it the direction you want too. I did this and finished on first attempt!
  5. I have it and I'm not sure what I think? Looks very pretty but the levels are VERY samey and linear. Follow corridor and fight different monsters the same way and repeat. Also I am now on the bit where you have to bring the starship down and I have to say it is truly ridiculous. I class myself as quite a hardcore gamer and fairly decent at most things but I have been trying to do this now for approx 3 hours and just cannot get past it! It's not because it is difficult it's just infuriating! My lightening seems to hit everything except what I want it too meaning the ship just rotates back to the starting position. I have never seen such a boring, infuriating level in a video game in all my life! What should be one of the most impressive bits of the game has just made me completely bored of it and I will be trading it in towards fifa 09 next week.
  6. RSC for me quality player and think of the chants we could sing!
  7. I'm thinking of buying a new point a shoot camera for my hols and I'm baffled by the reviews so thought I'd ask here for some advise? I currently have a Sony Cybershot DSC P200 that I have had for ages and to be honest I'm very happy with but fancy a new gadget. I want to spend around £100 - £200 and want it to be a worthy upgrade from what I currently have, preferably with decent video feature that I can zoom whilst recording? I'd also like it to be really small so I can take it out in my pocket at night? Any recommendations please?
  8. General, I have just been thinking about mellberg going and watching his lap of honour. I noticed he was taking photos with a personal camera. I'd love to see his last game through his eyes. Is there any way we could ask him for these photos to display on the official site and get an insight through the players eyes?
  9. General, Are AVFC trying to put kids off coming to the games? Especially disabled ones? My son has been saving all year to pay for his own season ticket for the first time as I want him to understand the value of it. I'm very proud of how well he has done but now he is nowhere near it without a chance of getting there. No doubt I will reluctantly cover the extra but these increases for kids are a disgrace. No doubt I'll be told how we are cheaper than other teams or we could sit somewhere else, but that is not a valid arguement. The increase is on a product that I purchased last year. I expect the same product. That arguement is like owning a BMW 6 series and them putting the prices up and the company saying if it means that much to you buy a 3 series or go and buy a skoda instead. I look forward to reply but no doubt this will just get ignored as most challenging posts do.
  10. As a big fan of baked potatoes would it not be possible to sell these behind the Villa counters as part of the standard menu?
  11. Id be on the first cartoon plane to Japan! Manga all the way!
  12. Because: a) I never really buy bottles outside the ground I shouldn't have to c) I'd forget to bring them if I did manage to get them My point is are they really that much of a health and safety problem? What about the risk of people slipping over in the puddles of spilt drinks? The worlds gone crazy when the ban bottle tops bought on the premises but allow big heavy metal flasks that would do a lot more damage.
  13. Funny I have come to this thread to bring exactly the same point up. As a father of a 7 year old that come with 2 other dads and their kids of the same age, this is an absolute nightmare for us! It sounds petty but we never ever go a match without at least one of the kids knocking their drink over. We have got to the point where we try to make sure they have finished their drink before we go up so that the kids don't ruin everyone elses enjoyment however a bottle of drink is enough to last a seven year old the whole game! It's a ridiculous rule and should be changed as soon as possible in my opinion.
  14. I guess I'm paranoid but whilst this is a nice friendly gesture is it not open to large security issues giving permission on an internet forum for somebody that nobody can identify permission to just walk into reception and leave a large rucksack that could contain anything in the heart of a building containing 45000 people because somebody has said it is A-OK? I would suggest maybe some proof of identity is shown/left and maybe the rucksack searched as bags are entering the stadium?
  15. Please assure me that no scum could register and bump the vote for no. 4? Number 2 for me.
  16. Seems like a pretty predictable result in my opinion? Laursen comes top because I think he is one of the top 5 CB in the league and would be irreplaceable and the contract publicity has bumped his vote up further. Young is up there because he's our only plan in attack and has massive potential to become a world class player if he can keep off MSN I think Barry may have been higher if we thought there was more of a chance of it happening.
  17. General, Please can we put catering improvements, ground expansion and ticketing on hold till Feb and concentrate on signing Martin Laursen. Yours Hopefully...
  18. For all those that care I've change mine to: GoM BigDaddy
  19. You cant win this argument. For instance I give a direct debit anonymously to charity (Ok now Ive blown it because Ive told somebody although I could still argue that none of you know me.) Up until today nobody knew I did. Not even my wife. I don't do it to make myself feel better because: 1. Im skint at the end of some months and could probably do with the money. 2. Ive been doing it that long I never actually even think about it. I do it because I feel the charity need the money and I can help is some small way. But now I've lost the argument because your all going to claim Ive told you about it to make myself feel better when the truth is I couldnt care less what you all think of me?
  20. Isn't giving money to Charity anonymously selfless? Especially if nobody know you do?
  21. They have done this before with a full holte and it was fine?
  22. I know it's a big ask but how about Randy subsidising the ticket to a reasonable price like when he put on free travel to Chelsea? This would be great publicity for the club again making the papers and showing up the scum for what rip off merchants they are! Worth every penny of advertising in my eyes!
  23. post deleted. stick to comments/queries for GK, not discussion with other posters. Blandy
  24. I really do appreciate what your doing on the forum it's amazing, no other team has such easy access to ask a board member such direct questions and I thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do so. Long may it continue. However I don't really see why my question has any less impact on all fans than other questions asked? Most fans will visit the shop at some point? Also you do seem to be answering the same questions with the same answers over and over again due to people constantly repeating the same questions - transfers/catering/ away fans! Hence my frustration at being ignored. Reading back I hope you take the above in the context it is meant, it certainly isn't meant as a criticism of yourself more an explanation of my frustration. I would fully understand if you felt you did not want to answer a question as any information we receive from you is a lot more than have ever had before. I would just appreciate acknowledgement that it hasn't been missed. Anyway here were my previous questions: Why is the selection of giftware in the new high st shop so very poor? There is very little(in fact nothing) in terms of bed linen/ key chains/ wallets etc etc! I wasted an afternoon taking my son up with the sole reason to treating him to something out of the brand spanking new shop? This sounds like I'm saying they didn't have what 'I' wanted, but I actually mean they had virtually NOTHING! Literally all there was the home kit,the retro shirts and the a bin of over priced non Villa Nike footballs! Why does it not have changing rooms? Why has it not got a lift for disabled people or parents with pushchairs? Why can a Newcastle Chairman owned chain of shops sell the new kit at 30% less the official AVFC source and include fitting rooms and actually have stock of other lines(Training tops and polo shirts in various colours) when the official AVFC shop can't? Why has free shirt printing been taken away from season ticket holders privileges, now making a new higher price shirt even less value for money? I thought Season ticket holders were going to get lots of extras this season after everybody complained about all the budget/discounted ticketing last season yet already one privilege has already been removed?
