Big character from him today. Missed a great chance at 0-0 and lost the ball for their goal. Could have easily gone into his shell but he kept working and played a crucial part in the equaliser and obviously scored the 2nd.

About as good a performance a striker could have without scoring. And that's one of the best things about him, his selflessness.

Probably gone a little under the radar with some of the other performances but I thought he was immense today. Does way more defensive work than I thought he would. Anyone who thought he couldn't play in the midfield 2 must be eating their words.

Ah forgot they had the 4 games remaining. Hull midweek could determine a lot about whether they still realistically have a chance.

So Saturday: Blackburn v Cov (Cov nothing to play for. Hopefully as shite as they were at Blues) Millwall v Plymouth (Millwall take a day on the beach lads) Sheff Wed v Baggies (rest up for the playoffs) And last but not least Huddersfield v SHA (last chance saloon for Huddersfield)

Szmodics has had a ridiculous season out of nowhere at that level.

I think the championship was quite a level playing field last season though and a Norwich squad that had previously gotten automatic promotion twice would have been expected to again.

I don't think he was a massive failure at Norwich but he wasn't a success either. Also the championship seemed quite weak last season with the likes of Sheff Utd and Luton going up.
