  1. “She didn’t wear much so she was asking for it”, is the epitome of condoning rape, and victim blaming, so unless I have read this wrong I will stand by my comment, but on the second point I completely agree. On a physical level, a man groping a woman is completely different to a woman groping a man, because the fear factor. Also, it does happen a lot for barmen and there was no novelty factor for me. It always made me feel uncomfortable but never physically intimidated, and as I said, any complaint were just laughed off.
  2. I have not seen anyone condone rape at all on this site. Maybe you could link me to the posts where it has happened. Also, try being a barman, women do catcall / assault / demean. Once they are pissed some women disregard all boundaries. But as a bloke when you complain that some woman grabbed your knackers, everyone just laughs.
  3. I wouldn't beat yourself up about how you handled the situation, I don't think you could have argued your point against people with that attitude. When you are surrounded by people with views as extreme as this there is no way you can talk rationally to them. Just use the experience to know who to avoid talking to in the future.
  4. Wasn't the "famous" one twenty odd years ago a bloke from Wolverhampton?
  5. I think if Andre Watson was umpiring, India would win this Seriously, congratulations to the Aussies if they do win. It's a tough achievement.
  6. I don't know the ins and out of it, and it is only an opinion. This is where I believe there is a misunderstanding of my comments, but women are held to much higher standards than men on TV when it comes to looks (which I disagree with as both should be judged on their ability to do the job and not how they look). Maybe, and it's just a guess, she may feel insecure about a younger, equally attractive female pundit coming through, and wanted to garner attention to prove she was still attractive enough to be in the job. It's a cut throat business and highly competitive. I also do not think she is good at her job. I believe she got the job because she is so attractive and therefore will lose the job when her looks fade. This isn't sexism on my behalf, but a comment on the state of the industry she works in. This hardly puts me on a level with an (alleged) sex trafficking rapist, but hey it's 2023 and histrionic behaviour is all the rage.
  7. I'm not trying to claim that's all is said but what I also said was She is shit at her job so that's why she did it, not because she did it she was shit at her job. Two completely different statements, although subtle. I don't want her on my TV with or without clothes (and Gary Lineker is also on that list), because I do not rate them at their jobs. But at least it sparked some interest during the international break
  8. I think Everton will appeal, and if it looks like that are getting relegated, the PL will reduce the points loss. If they look like they are safe, nothing will happen, so the PL look tough. They will always want an Everton in the league over a Luton. They will do a VAR on it to get the preferred outcome
  9. I think we agreed that there is a line of inappropriateness, I just think we disagree on where it is. I am old fashioned on certain aspects.
  10. Because they are lumping in dying with Covid and dying from Covid in the same category, when I believe they are not. It is more to do with my distrust of the intentions and capabilities of this government.
  11. Oh come on my friend, you have proved yourself to be brave and a man of integrity by calling a complete stranger Andrew Tate? from behind your keyboard. Surely answering those two questions would be a walk in the park.
  12. Aggrieved is not the word I would use to describe my reaction, as I said I thought it was inappropriate, and I also think that about all public nudity (except in designated areas like beaches). It is not because I have an aversion to the female body, but because they are forcing people to see that nudity. Would you be happy if you were having a meal with your wife and kids in a restaurant, and the waiter got his cock out to take your order? Thank you for answering my previous question, about posting the picture. Some people do find it inappropriate, and that does not make them Andrew Tate. The other question is a bit more difficult to answer honestly, without appearing a complete hypocrite but the silence does speak volumes.
  13. Yeah, this Government will stoop to any level to deceive the public, including manipulating death figures.
  14. I thought the the dress was inappropriate, so obviously I am a henious human being, but for everyone with a differing opinion I would genuinely be interested in you answers to these questions Would you be happy to go out in public with your daughter, sister, wife or mother if they were wearing that exact outfit?(this was asked before but side stepped), and Why has nobody posted a picture of it on this site?
  15. The Government mismanaged the whole Covid situation, and tried to convince the public that dying with Covid was the same as dying from Covid.
  16. Kohli, great player, greater arsehole. It's tough but be more dislikeable than the Aussie cricket team, but this guy manages without even trying.
  17. This is also another reason some people refused the vaccine. Ideally, they take between 10-15 years to create, test and refine, whereas this one was available in around 12 months. Some people with previous negative reactions to vaccines didn't want to take the risk (although this probably accounted for a very small percentage of people not having the vaccine).
  18. It's definitely worth a watch. That and George C Scott's version of A Christmas Carol are my favourite Christmas films.
  19. This level of journalism boils my piss. It's not sponsorship, it's bribery and corruption. Spineless journalism spinning the truth so as not to upset the rich.
