  1. No needless injuries please, lets get out of this unscathed
  2. Couple more and we can put out the reserves next home fixture against Hibs. Also please sub off Dougie now!
  3. I'm standing by Viktor Gyokeres would've been good business for the 15-20m Sporting got him for. They'll turn around and sell him for 50-60mill in a year. I personally think he would've been good behind Watkins and start games in ECL since Unai doesn't rate Archer sadly...
  4. Also just putting this out there - if Michail Antonio (who barely gave a f*ck about the ECL half the time walking around) was scoring goals easily in that, with our team and Unai... Archers scoring 15 out of the group stages lol. Value sky rockets to 30-35m...
  5. I was thinking surely we could've persuaded Luton to sign him for 20-25m or Sheffield after they lost Ndiaye. Maybe we can try West Ham, they are having an abysmal transfer window lol
  6. Why not play him in the ECL games, all Cup games, and the here and there sub in the league. Surely he'll score goals (especially ECL) and his value will go up even more and then either look to sign another striker in the winter or we cash in the following summer. I can't think of anyone paying more then 15mill for him and at that price - can we sign anyone better? We have money yes, but this close to the season starting and our lack of striker depth, along with my personal bias toward Archer, I'd rather keep him...
  7. Similar to Dani Ceballos situation in a way - but I'd be looking to sign Antonio Blanco. At least looking to loan w/ an option to buy. I don't see him getting into Real Madrid's team anytime soon with Bellingham, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, etc. and they just signed that Arda Guler. I think he'd be pretty shrewd business - we have the Spanish connection on our side now
  8. Well deserved save! Double save! Such a soft soft pen to give, to begin with.
  9. Teun Koopmeiners - think he's brilliant and would be a tremendous player under Emery. Not sure how much he'd cost, but if we actually tried with Ugarte then I don't see why we couldn't afford Koopmeiners.
  10. For the price he's a bargain. I reckon someone like West Ham will sign him, but the quality is there imo. I think he would compliment Ollie and would be great for the Europa Conference (if secured).
  11. Osmihen is being reported to cost over 100m. If we're looking to spend big on a striker, I'd love the rumored Vlahovic or Kolo Muani over Osmihen. All seem like pipe dreams tho
  12. 1 game doesn't define a player. Its on a free and it wouldn't do much harm to us as we can get by with another year. I just don't want to see Olsen EVER again play for us. I love Martinez - but at what point do you question we can sorta cash in big on him and he personally wants a different challenge? If he wants to stay like he has mentioned in interviews, great! But I think we sorta need to be looking at a replacement for Martinez "soon-ish", and LaFont would be a brilliant young keeper when the time comes. I don't think we're in the luxury yet to sign him and loan him out. Like you said - it would stifle his career if he sits on the bench consistently. But what if we did something similar to how West Ham does with Areola/Fabianski? I would also think Martinez is the type to want to play every game and it wouldnt necessarily work.
  13. Not fancy but Adrian (Liverpool goalkeeper) - on a free as a backup to Martinez? I don't think we should spend money on a backup goalkeeper, but I would like us to look at Alban LaFont. Just don't deem it necessary atm and a experienced keeper who's also Spanish, as a short term option doesn't seem to bad...
  14. Seems a lot of Barca fans actually loved him. I always thought their transfer strategy was horrific from the outside looking in and seemed a bit scatterbrained, but they are winning the league... I'll take the Barca fans opinion ofc and am pretty optimistic now - but overall I trust Don Unai and our owners!
  15. I believe so. Don't know that much about him - but hasn't Barcelona's recruitment been kinda scatterbrain in the past couple seasons? His time at Valencia wasn't great either from my understanding...
  16. They have this young Italian midfielder on their books named Cesare Casadei that looks like a future star.
  17. If the rumors of Kamada actually turning down Dortmund are true - we need to at least try and tempt him with Don Unai
  18. Im thinking along the lines of, if we qualify for Europe, we'll need the extra "experienced" midfielder for Europe even tho he's still relatively young... He can hold either Conference/Europa down while giving valuable Premier League minutes on rotations with others. If we snuck UCL, then forget him and shoot for the stars lol. But I wouldn't think he'd cost that much either with 1 year left and the position Leicester are in. Lavia I guess matches the mold, but he seems pricy as he's the flavor of the summer.
  19. No one mentions Wilfred Ndidi - was hyped up a lot a couple years back. Haven't watched him much but is he even worth a shout anymore? Only has 1 year left on his contract.
  20. Completely different players... But of course you're going to get your reasoning with a player like him (Sulemana) who only just turned 21, majority of them have that issue. Like I said - allow him to learn under Unai and the potential is there, because he has an abbundance of talent, its clear to see. Sulemana was a menace today against Manchester City. Lavia will be a good player but I'd look elsewhere for Central Midfielders first.
  21. Nico Williams > Sulemana for sure. It would be more on the premise of - Southampton is relegated, they'd have a fire sale. A nice talent on the cheap potentially to have. Under Emery and our system - I'd trust he'd show a lot better then the form/management Southampton are under... Also if we somehow qualify for Europa Conference or higher, we'll need the extra bodies.
