    Well, when Smith has had the time and money that SAF, Wenger and Pep has had then I will expect a lot more! I don't really see how you can compare him to those 3. Potential and performances can't be judged after managing only 62 PL games 38 of which were spent bedding in a new team with very little PL team amongst them!

    100% agree with this! There was absolutely no point in sending out Nakamba for the second half IMO My main criticism of Smith is he's always 'reactive' rather than 'proactive'

    Well, he's shown that he has great potential! I can't think of any other manager that could have improved us so much in such a short period of time! Can you? I'll revisit this in a year's time before judging him further! For now, I'm more than happy with him!

    It became just same old, same old....poor cross after poor cross! We needed craft and guile against 10 men and, sadly we don't have enough in the squad. An Erikson type would have been perfect tonight imo

    I think that we simply picked the wrong 3 in midfield for this one. Not a game when we needed Nakamba imo. And it's not about droppin him as we don't need him for every game! Craft and guile was needed today and we didn't have too much of it on show! Move on swiftly!

    Good post mate I do enjoy watching Targett being aggressive though. Wingers are not happy playing against Targett these days and that helps a great deal for our defence. Traore not too good today but that shithouse of a pitch didn't help his cause!
