There's always a price. If someone comes in and meets it and Unai says OK then he can go. I'm confident we'll spend well on the other side of it. But if we are 2 points off the top by January 1, that price is going to be astronomical...

Let's throw out a hypothetical, and I know they aren't like for like but let's do it anyway... Someone comes in with 100 million offer for Doug - anyone feel more comfortable about him going for that price now Youri is showing potential?

I felt he got the first half wrong, and he knew it. I was impressed with how he changed it up - we have a lot of options on the bench to do that, and unlike previous managers he has more than one plan and is willing to adjust as needed. No matter how much pressure we took, we always have the threat of going up the other end and scoring one more than them. Very enjoyable brand of football to watch. Project will keep evolving and we'll get more and more pieces to improve at the back.

Head on over to the Spurs forum if you want a bit of a laugh. "Hope someone breaks Cash's legs". i mean it was a bad challenge but he didn't go into it trying to hurt the guy. Calling us a boring club with no trophies... might want to fact check that!

Bad first half, but we stuck around. Emery plain got it wrong. BUT - he changed it up perfectly in the second half, and we deserved the victory in the end.

So if I am Jim Ratcliffe I offer the man 2X what he is making to come to United. Now, I don't know if he'd go there given the level of control he has at Villa, but if he were offered something similar there would he be tempted??? My gut is not - he's not that kind of guy. But money talks...

Entitled. Absolutely and completely entitled. I have no clue how he thinks his performances on the pitch justify a starting place over Kamara/ Dougie and Sir John. You know how you get a starting place, mate: you train harder than anyone else and you show it on the pitch when you get some minutes. Steven Ireland mark II.

This. Our league cup win and the first part of MON was the highlights of my Villa life so far. Unai has trumped that by miles.

Massive win against a top 5 rival. Oli is back - such a confidence player. That'll be him scoring for at least another 5 games now. Diaby is a worldie - looking more and more like a bargain every game even at 50 mill. Thought we were going to lose when Tielimans came on but we held in there.

Referee an absolute joke all around. Terrible. Also 11 mins added on, how in TF... Solid play by us. Chelsea rarely looked threatening. Pau is really figuring out this premier league malarkey.

If we think we have it bad on merch... Went to the Bernabeu and had to get a shirt while I was there (AVFC 82 on the back of it, obviously). 200 euros (including the letters)... Was also in Germany earlier in the year and went to see Bayern. Much more reasonable there - only 100 euros. You can tell Bayern is fan owned! However, usually I just get a new Villa shirt each year with my favorite player of the season once they've gone on sale.

I don't think a Manure, Chelski would give him the absolute control that we would. I don't think he would see City as a challenge and it would be the same. He's got the money, fanbase, control and league to seriously cement himself as one of greats of all time.
