We are 'back where we belong' in the Premiership and that is where we should aspire to stay. Leicester are happy to play long balls to Vardy to run on to and they seem to be doing okay......I will grant you that our centre forward is not going to chase a through ball and crash the ball into the net, he's not going to 'hold it up 'either for that matter.

Okay, I agree, nobody died.....But this is 'our club' losing hurts all of us (including Deano probably most of all ). I am not satisfied with the managers performance at the moment, that's my opinion. You appear to be satisfied with things as they are, that's your opinion and I respect it of course. Notice I don't suggest that you are delusional.

'Time will tell'. Well that's correct. But I would rather not wait until we are relegated before we do something positive. As I have already said, Smiths admission that ' the players are not working hard enough', ( but not doing anything about it ) says it all.....

Smiths admission that the players 'aren't working hard enough' is the same as admitting that ' I can't do the job'. Hard work is a given in professional football. I actually believe that properly coached we have the makings of a mid table Premiership team, with the exception of Wesley who is embarrassingly inept. Fat Sam to the rescue please....

They were 'shit' at Villa but other clubs have been able to get more out of them. Its called 'coaching', something that does not exist at Villa Park....

Anybody got fat Sam's number? This team is 100% Smith's. Yes he comes across as a lovely knowledgable man but this is a results business and he is the manager of a very poor side. The club has made him a multi millionaire and he can walk away a very rich man. Thanks for promotion and enjoy your retirement.

Gone a bit quiet on here from the ' do not panic' brigade. Smith is virtually sacking himself. Good job the board signed him him to a extended contract to stop this genius being poached. It would be funny if it did not hurt so much.....

I have to say that the Liverpool lads showed very little after the first 15 minutes. I would be very surprised if any of them play much part in the first team in the future. Good players stand out even at their young age, none did even if the commentators tried to embellish their credentials. Hard work is a given, they didn't produce any goalbthreat after their opening spell. -
What's wrong with Jess Phillips for Leader? Decent pair....Gets my vote...

These players all showed potential at Villa but never realised their talents. Did any of them ever get 20 goals in the premiership? I believe that is the 'yardstick ' of a successful striker....

Actually I think some of the posters on here lack ambition for this club. If you look around at the premiership clubs you will see that clubs with much smaller resources than Villa are being more successful. Please don't accept failure as being the 'norm' it isn't and never should be. UTV. G.T.
