    I've just had a bloke at work (a Liverpool fan from Birmingham. Make of that what you will) tell me that Milner is a better player than Grealish and controls the game better than he does. I just had to walk away. Needed somewhere to vent. Honestly, there is no side in world football that Grealish wouldn't improve. Never loved a player so much.

    You don't have to explain yourself to me. I never asked anybody to explain their credentials. We're on a discussion forum hiding behind usernames and we all have different opinions. I could be Arsene Wenger for all you know (I'm not). I just stated that I don't see him as being the answer to us in our current state. He might very well be a young player with potential but we've signed loads of those in recent years and not exactly got anywhere. Right now we need more of a proven striker who is in good or at least decent goal scoring form or has proven himself over a number of years. I don't really think now is the time to sign someone who has a lot of potential but has scored 0 goals all season. I'm absolutely all for signing young, high potential players as I believe that is how you build a club for the long term, but right now we are looking no further than the next 5 months.

    Yes he was. He didn't score a single goal for them. Wasn't very good at Leipzig either. I don't see how he'd have been the answer for us.

    Big week ahead. I still think we NEED another striker (preferably someone experienced who can hold the ball up *GIROUD*) and a wide man/playmaker who can cross the ball. Those are the necessities. A dirty scumbag central midfielder would be nice too.

    Yes, I think he's quality and will be the next player from the Championship to step up and become a star in the Prem. Just hope it is with us. Look at his record. That is outrageous for a wide player.

    Well, if Giroud wants to make the France squad for the summer he may have to take what he can get. I just think having the option to change things up would be nice. Just having Samatta pretty much leaves us with just a plan A. Different games call for different styles. At times in the last 2 games it was so obvious we needed someone to make it stick up front. Imaging being 1 goal up with 10 minutes to go and being able to bring on Giroud just to hold the ball up for us. Could be absolutely invaluable.

    They got exactly what their anti football time wasting deserved. The ref just let them walk all over him. Justice was done in us winning the match.

    I think I'm still delirious. Did that just happen? I fell into the row in front celebrating and feels like I broke my finger.

    We need to go all out for Giroud. Play him up front with Samatta with Grealish playing off them. That would keep us up.

    We have to go there believing we can win, just like we did against Burnley. We need to start this game exactly how we did in that one. It was obvious after about 5 minutes we wanted it more than them that day. If we go and be too careful and scared to attack it will just be another one of those away games.

    I follow PSV as much as I can. Pereiro is a great player. Very technically gifted and similar to Grealish in some ways so would take the pressure off him a bit. Got a great free kick on him too. Think he's had a few injuries so hasn't had as much game time recently but he'd be a good signing.

    N'Zonzi really would be an amazing signing. Obviously we are desperate for strikers but we need someone like him just as badly. He's the type of signing that could keep us up.
