  1. Well I'm a big fan of Kappa shirts so my expectations are high!
  2. Yes, he's the new Brazilian superstar. Would be brilliant played next to the South Korean international Ay-Ki-Nee.
  3. Is it only me that gets insanely infuriated by these clickbait headlines?!! They are the most cringe worthy, pathetic things! I'd be embarrassed if I was a "journalist" writing crap like this! Rant over!
  4. He's actually one of my 100 striking options better than Austin and RHM funnily enough!
  5. Yeah, me too. He changes the game pretty much every time he comes on as sub. He's got pace, an immense amount of strength and power, decent in the air and has a good touch. If he can have a season on loan somewhere where he will be number 1 striker and start adding a few goals to his game, then there's no reason why he can't be a quality player.
  6. Fantastic! Well played. How did I miss that?
  7. Agreed. I actually really rate Davis. Can definitely see him having a decent career in the Championship. Hogan has already proven in the past that he does have some ability. With RHM, we are going purely on potential. But I'm not even sure what that potential is based on.
  8. I could honestly name over 100 players who are better options if I had the time.
  9. I'm younger and hungrier than Kodjia. That doesn't mean I'd be a better option.
  10. I cannot believe that after just being promoted and having two ambitious billionaire owners on board who want to take us to the top that we are even debating RHM and Austin being good options. What's happened to our ambition? There is a whole continent of players out there. Many of them are very good value and far far better options than both of them. It's like winning the Euromillions and Lotto in the same week and buying a new car but debating between a Citroen and a Peugeot. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure the people in charge of the club do have far greater ambitions than crap like that.
  11. In what way is RHM a better option than Kodjia?
  12. I've been following him for about a week and first impressions are he might have some credibility. Seems to have got a few things right.
  13. I'd be amazed if RHM is still here at the end of the transfer window. Can certainly see him being loaned out. But also, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was sold. I can't see him ever being more than a mid-table Championship player at very best. We need to be looking much higher than this now.
  14. He's worth at least £170 million to us, because without him we would not be in the Premier League. £50 million is nothing to our owners. We'd literally be giving away an irreplaceable player for peanuts. He has the potential to be the best Villa player of all time, he's that good. Give him a huge new contract now and put an end to this nonsense.
  15. I don't think he looked out of his depth at all. He was always second choice to Abraham and never really got a run of games to get some momentum. He hasn't had a good run of games since his injury against Blackburn. Just think back to his goal against Brentford or his goal against Forest in his first season. Or his assist for Hourihane's goal at home to Leeds last year. Can you honestly see Austin doing anything like that? Kodjia makes chances for himself out of nothing. He doesn't just wait around for them to be presented to him. Watch this and ask yourself, could Austin do half of that?
  16. Kodjia thrives off being in the spotlight. Yes, that is a bit of a selfish attitude but I think every team needs a player like that. Someone a bit unpredictable who can create a bit of magic out of nowhere. Kodjia has that and I actually think he will thrive in the Premier League. Austin is injury prone, past it, on huge wages and even when fit, has a terrible scoring record. Even at his best, all he is, is a fox in the box type striker. Kodjia offers much much more in every department. If the question is Kodjia or Austin? There really is only one answer.
  17. I've just caught up on the last day's worth of pages and had the same thoughts as this. Why are Austin and Long being mentioned??? Have we gone mad? They are mid-table Championship quality at best. The types of signings we would have made in the Lambert days. Dreadful players who would no doubt be on ridiculous wages and have absolutely no sell on value. I can't actually think of many worse or depressing signings we could make this summer. Thankfully, I'm 100% confident we will be looking much, much higher than this.
  18. I do like the look of the Trinity as it is but I wouldn't be against that at all. I agree it would look stunning if we gave it a bit of a facelift to look like the Holte. Surely it would be plausible to line the outside of it with the same brickwork? There's lots we can do to the current setup to improve and expand. I really don't think there is any need to move grounds entirely. Primary focus should obviously be the North Stand. Then go from there. I just hope that if/when they decide to make changes that they properly consult with the fans and ask us what we want. It is our club after all.
  19. I think I went to one game in the original. I was only 10 when they knocked down the original so it was a bit before my time. I get that the new one doesn't look like the original without the old brickwork outside but I still don't think its a bad looking stand.
  20. Genuine question to those of you who don't like the new Trinity. What is it that's so bad about it? I personally think it's a great stand.
