  1. Really don’t know whether we are in a position to even change manager (whether we could afford to pay Bruce and co off and pay a new manager and coaching team) and not be affected by FFP. But, if we can, I would find the appointment of someone like Henry genuinely exciting, backed up by some experienced heads. Wenger would be great as DOF too, there’s all the experience you could want. Many of us have been saying we need “proper football people” at the club too. Henry is a winner, pure and simple, was a world class player who played at the highest level, won so much and was trained by some of the very best coaches and managers everywhere. I’m sure he could bring a lot to the club. Everyone would look up to and be inspired by him and I’m sure he wouldn’t let standards slip. Would be a compeletely different approach to someone like Bruce. We certainly wouldn’t be playing hoofball and the football would not be dire and dull. Don’t talk to me about experience of this league etc etc. Just look how well some of the managers have done who have come in and actually got their teams playing decent football e.g. Wagner, Nuno, Jokanovic. If we do want a different and more exciting approach I can’t think of much better tbh. There are no guarantees but you don’t get much without taking risks, how much have we really gained with old style, experienced or British managers? A complete change of approach and mentality is just what this club needs. Now that we have new owners, hopefully we can revitalise the whole club. I still don’t know what our financial situation really is though so can we even do this?
  2. Exactly, can only see Bruce recruiting an overage and inferior replacement. Defence is the biggest concern regarding our squad imo and the last thing I want is the return of hoofball.
  3. Really concerned about our defence, could easily be the weakest part of our team/squad... especially if we lose Chester. GK too... We don’t have many wingers, just Adomah (could be sold) and Green (injury prone).
  4. Not completely against Bruce staying (for now) but after today’s events and being able to dream again, I think a Wenger (DOF?) and Henry (manager) team up would be amazing!
  5. Hopefully Spurs sign Zaha and forget about Grealish now too, what a day!
  6. I admire your positivity at least ?
  7. Again, hope you are totally right. But what makes you say that? Any basis for that or just a feeling? Only way I can see us having a good season is if we can hold onto Jack. Just imagine a whole season with him firing on all cylinders, will lift the other players too.
  8. Well I hope you are right mate and I am proved wrong ? I’m just fed up with how much of a mess we are & have been...
  9. Btw, I wouldn’t place much trust in “this club” to make good decisions and judge players appropriately. We have made so many blunders over the years, it’s a joke. We need so much change...
  10. Appreciate the response. But, again, why are we so poorly run and hand this guy a 5 year contract? He’s not been good enough imo but I do wish him the best, would love to be surprised but he has had opportunities and failed to deliver adequately.
  11. Back on topic, the player/person aside, why the hell would anyone in their right mind spend 5 mil on a completely unproven player/youngster with no real reputation or pedigree? Such a stupid signing. He could turn out to be a decent player (in the future, somewhere else) but that’s not really the point here. Ok, maybe he could be integrated into the u23s and developed? But when you waste so much money on such a player...it really is ludicrous. Why have we been so utterly thick and idiotic in our transfer “strategies” over the years? Richards, my word, one of the worst signings in history. McCormack....
  12. Not being funny, but my genuine question is simply: Why? Has shown nothing in previous years, what do you base this notion on? Lacking in the required quality, I’m afraid.
  13. If we somehow manage to keep him, along with some semblance of a decent side, just watch him go this season ? Forget the past, he is constantly improving and is by far the best player in the league (easily the most talented and skilful). No longer a precocious young talent, he is maturing and developing into quite some player. A rare, rare talent... More goals and assists will certainly come too...
