    I mean you can see here, it’s just not a red card offence, if that’s a slide tackle I’d imagine 95% of us are saying it’s just a yellow. It boggles my mind some think it’s a stone wall red

    Watching the reply it’s clear McGinns intention is to play the ball and he is a split second too late, I personally don’t think it’s a red, yes it looks bad but it’s not a straight red. Moders in the Brighton game should’ve been a straight red, he only got a yellow. Hopefully we have players that can step up and fill the void for 3 games, which is crazy cos wasn’t long ago I wanted us to replace McGinn. Annoying to lose him for 3 games, but least he will be refreshed for the final push.

    If you isolate the tackle, he couldn’t get his leg out, it’s just a mistimed challenge, but that’s just my perspective of it. Only John will know.

    I just don’t think it’s a red, you know when you’re running and when you go to lift your foot to stretch your leg out it just doesn’t fully lift, I think that’s what happened so it looks like he played the man which makes it look worse. Regardless, in the rules it’s still not a red, looks bad but not a red.

    Oh I haven’t forgotten…. It was just awful. We had some absolute dross during that period we were circling the drain. Thanks Randy.

    We can also have a huge say on the title race. Don’t we still have to play all the top 3? Imagine we won all 3, would that put us in the race for the title? Guessing probably not but you never know.

    I dunno, I think it could be good if United fluke a win here, United won’t be catching us, they are too inconsistent this season, whereas this puts us right on City’s heels and they are title contenders….. So surely that puts us back in the conversation for the title!

    My thoughts on Purslow…. I feel he did a lot of good work in laying the foundations to getting Villa to where we are today, he made a decision that in hindsight he regrets but overall he did a good job and probably was what we needed at that time in that role.
