His confidence in regards to taking players on is clearly at an all time high.
I do agree that he gets a bit wasteful when in the final third but he himself has pointed this out as a problem he wants to fix. I personally think its excellent for him to acknowledge his own faults.
Helenius was bought to play either with/behind Benteke or out wide a la Gabby and Weimann, so hopefully we see him get a chance in either of those positions.
No he didn't but his attempts were so far wide it was just ridiculous.
If he didn't have a chance that he should have scored from he shouldn't have shot.
6 shots, all off target. It isn't good enough at this level, especially when combined with a 65% pass rate.
Effort can only get you so far.
After Westwood's performance today I think it's fair to say that Sylla deserves a chance now.
Looked calm on the ball as per usual when he was brought on and he'd certainly help us to defend against teams, just like he did after being brought in initially.
I think we all like him, just like we all like Lowton, but if you're not playing well then somebody else should get a chance. Bacuna has took his chance with both hands, maybe Helenius or Tonev could do the same.
I'd rather give somebody else a chance (Helenius or Tonev) than keep Weimann in the team based on the fact that he is trying.
If we're playing with 3 strikers and Weimann gets the most chances, he needs to at least hit the target.
Very much this
Certainly agree and any talk of being down in the relegation scrap is silly in my opinion, but both Westwood and Weimann need a game or two out.
We also aren't very good at using this formation at home.
