  1. I thought Citeh are trying to push the deal through before WC starts?
  2. Sorry, but did you see him against Everton? Got taken off at Goodison. He is captain. He wasn't injured either. Such a poor poor performance from someone that has such a big reputation. Plays in a poor league where they have two competitive teams. Is that the only game you have seen him in? The guy is immense. One poor performance doesn't mean the player is automatically a bad buy. He was in one of the legs of the 12-1 aggregate drubbing by Bayern wasn't he?
  3. Really? Say 30M, 40M ? 30M and Bellamy and Ireland and Richards ? I took a dump today that could defend better than Richards.
  4. Easy for me. SC Freiburg. Went out with a girl from Freiburg for 4 years and saw them play Moenchengladbach away. Usually a yo-yo team but they've just survived relegation.
  5. Why in the world would any Villa supporter want Spurs to get 4th. That is the worst possible result for us. As some Gooner pointed out as far as Man Citeh goes: If they DO get fourth, they will spend a fortune and buy some of the best players in the world and be real contenders for all trophies next year. If they DON’T get fourth, they will spend a fortune and buy some of the best players in the world and be real contenders for all trophies next year.
  6. Can't take another season of Petrov as guaranteed starter
  7. Great work from Gabby. Deserved a goal
  8. Double Impact. Two Van Dammes for the price of one. Epic.
  9. It's his 25th headed goal. DOL was going to buy him but had no money. Shame
  10. Lucky. Looked a handball by Dunne. Can't beat Villa - Everton games
  11. Blow the whistle before they get another 4
  12. In honour of our March performances under MON...
  13. Agreed Chindie and I for one want him to be there until he retires like Fergie with the job done. They had more reason to chase him out in his early days at Old Trafford than we do Martin now. The clubs who do well tend to give a manager time and Martin has earned our trust. How would we all feel if we got fourth and the FA Cup but he left due to the negatives he has received at times from some fans over the past 12 months? See my post on MON's coaching staff vs SAF's. SAF didn't stand still with coaches that only know one style of football. He scoured the continent at times and never persisted with the same coach to the point they became stale. The results speak for themselves.
  14. Well i worry for my sanity because bar my dad, no one else seems to see that the media is constantly praising a manager who is not winning anything, and his club may not even finish as high as they did last season. But yet we still hear how good he is, and when results go against him people make excuses for him?? I just don't get it. And when I ask people, why? They just disagree but do not seem to have any arguement for why they disagree (probably because he has achieved so little) You've summed up MON perfectly in those last two paragraphs. Most sensible thing you've ever posted
  15. Excellent. So you've just boiled tactics down to passing the ball around a million times. No wonder we don't see eye to eye and your so enamoured by MON
  16. And lack of tactics, and ability to deal with bigger egos than his which is sky high, and look abroad for players, and not play favourites who had one good season in three and now can't last a match. I would get a manager who can get his team playing more than Forest's funnel system.
  17. tbf, Risso has been peddling the dreadful manager line for as long as I can remember. Me too. He's achieved no better place wise than JG and D'OL and spunked a shit load of money and makes the same mistakes over and over again and some people worship him. Bizarre.
  18. It's always "one result!" with you isn't it? Haven't you noticed that all those "one results" are added together to form the league table? And that for the past two years, the "one results" from March onwards have absolutely dismal? Care to find examples of me saying it's only one result recently? I don't think I often say it. And **** off with your condescension. I have to be honest. I've taken a lot of stick in the past on this site about my serious misgivings about MON and I find your overt optimism towards him unwarranted to say least. That said your posts are pretty reasonable and courteous.
  19. All those managers are shit or too old.
  20. I made a joke in a thread in the last transfer window that we should follow up Salifou's signing with another Swiss league player and randomly picked a team BSC Young Boys and there top scorer: Doumbia Seydou 11th on that list and even though a joke league what I have seen of him he looks a talent and only 22. I think he could be a big name signing in a few years. Lot of the managers of teams take gambles on these kind of players and it's win-win. Look at the money Wigan made off Palacios and Valencia who cost them next to nothing. We are in a position financially that Wigan aren't that if we signed those players we wouldn't need to sell if they were a success. We will never sign another Yorke the way MON does his transfer dealings
  21. I agree any striker needs the service. No point having the world best strikers if they are not going to touch the ball. Yes. MON has never signed a prolific striker iin his career and the system he plays kind of rules out any striker getting anywhere near 20 in a season in all competitions
