You may see it like that but you are forgetting I want it to facilate the full backs getting really high up the pitch to do over loads. Also I’m not talking about Nakamba type defensive midfielders here who can litterally only do simple passes and defend I am talking about mobile, technically skilful defensive midfielders like Luiz. Call them defensive play makers if you like. you would have 4 permanent attackers in this system 6 with the overload and it’s very defensively sound.

I want to play with 2. the full backs push on and the defensive midfielders screen the defence and fill on for the full back when a counter happens

A defensive midfielder would be playing next to Luiz, McGinn has mostly been seen in CM and ACM, I think he could play DCM but who cares anyway we need extra players in central midfield. if McGinn is on the bench for a game you know we have a strong central 3 on the pitch.

He can play as all 3 forms of central midfielder, Barclay is AM and CM

Yea if we have a defensive midfielder in as well other wise I’d rather have RLC as he is a good all rounder

He just needs minutes and to be played in the right system.

If that is the reason we don't loan a player we need then they are being ridiculous, unless we have like 50 million left in the budget we need to use the loan market.

It would be nice to have buy clauses we can activate if we wish but I really couldn't give a flying **** who we develop a player for. All we should worry about is how a potential signing will affect us this year.

Centre back, centre mid, wide forward. If we can't afford the fees then we need to go to the loan market. You could loan Loftus Cheek, Tuanzebe, Sessegnon if we have no cash.

Perhaps they don't 100% need the money from it. He is a good player, a player who was signed for 27 million a year ago. However he is also a player who only played 23 full games last season and got relegated, it doesn't make sense for a buyer to pay nearly double what he was sold for a year ago. If they have actually put that price on his head they must want to keep him.

No foreign signings and no transfers between PL clubs so we can buy/sell/loan with lower league clubs

That is just insane for him at the moment. No one will match that so they will be keeping him.

A left back is 4th priority for me this summer and I think we can get a wide forward, midfielder and central defender in before the window closes. I highly doubt we can sort left back this season but next summer it goes to top of the list.

No I/We don't he is a good player who since his loan finished had a season long loan injury, he would be available, relatively cheap, knows the club and the way Dean plays.

I wish I knew what budget we have left as I would love to bench Targett too but I doubt we have the room to get to do that. Central defender, Central midfielder and wide forward before him. Love to see a handful leave before the two windows close

We need another 15% of the ball in this game, I don't mind the other team having more of the ball but 25% isn't acceptable. We need to control games when we are two up.

Just seeing the team sheet for the game you can see we need a midfielder and centre back. Still three signings to do for me the other being a wide forward of course
