To be fair Southampton are a very good team and were clinical against us. The Leeds game was anybody’s until they scored. Every game will be tough. The difference is we are now competing in all of them!

So did I. I’ve seen Arsenal a lot this season and I don’t get the hype. They try to play from the back but they are shit at it! We won the ball back time and time again. I think the hype scared me more than anything I had seen myself.

He was superb today even before he scored. Long balls are fine if they are aimed at him. He is great at holding off players and bringing it down. It’s the aimless hoofs where he has to challenge in the air where we struggle. Today we used him brilliantly.

Great performance and will shut up a few people that seemed to write us and Smith off after 2 defeats. I thought Watkins hold up play and finishing was fantastic. Mcginn kept disciplined. Barkley and Grealish superb on the ball, Trezeguet working his ass off as always. Defence and keeper solid. We got a little bit lucky with missed changed but thoroughly deserved to win today. The much better team and could have had a lot more. We have no beaten Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal. We’re not a bad team you know. @villalad21 must be gutted.

He is fielding the best 11 available. I’m happy with that. Just need McGinn and Barkley to be very disciplined.

I can. We went toe to toe vs Leeds and didn’t take our chances. They did and then we lost our heads, was poor. Against Southampton we just didn’t turn up first half against a team that were clinical on the day. So that’s around 80 minutes out of 540 minutes our approach and performance has been disappointing. Of course it should be discussed but i don’t think it’s enough to be concerned just yet.

For the record I think Wilder is a good manager and done a fabulous job at Sheffield United. I just find it hilarious that last season it was why can’t Smith be more like Wilder and this season it’s ‘well, It’s not Wilders fault he just hasn’t got the quality players’.

Wow even when we are discussing Wilder you managed a dig at Smith. Unbelievable Jeff. Also how the is Derby an established team? Most of their top players under Lampard were on loan!

And that’s on top of a pretty established team. We’ve had to pretty much build a new team around 3 players that were part of the promotion team. Yet Wilder is a god and Smith has a lot to learn.

I’ve seen our players do the same many times and lose to better quality yet get slated for apparently not trying hard enough. The double standards irritate me.

Last season after Spurs Game we as a newly promoted team with loads of new signing to fit in to the team went 8 games before we lost by more than 2 goals and even then that was to city. Yet nothing but criticism from you mate. Do you see why people react?

I didn’t see the game at all but I heard there was a ridiculous penalty decision? Newcastle have had a couple this season. They are really riding their luck.

I hated international weeks before but now they are unbearable. I can see it now, Southgate ends up finally playing Jack and gives him too many minutes. He excels, we all say told you Southgate you word removed but then he gets injured and we lose him for a lot of games. Don’t bow to pressure Gareth. Just give him a few minutes here and there please. You know what you are doing. -
Yes! We are both talking about Luiz right? Post lockdown and until Southampton game i saw one of the best cdm we’ve had in years. He was pretty much motm for every game post lockdown last season and one of the reasons we stayed up. I’m perplexed by your posts. Even against Leeds he was the only one that kept going until the end. He had a poor first half against Southampton yes. But even then he was only caught out once really. Luiz isn’t the problem. It’s Mcginn and Barkley leaving too much space in the middle when we haven’t got the ball.

We know Man U will move out of it but I expect Newcastle to be dragged in. It’s 36 points very much up for grabs.
