    Nailed it. I also associate the Lerner badge with failure. It is the worst badge we have ever had. I wanted rid of it.

    Rebranding is never straightforward. Villa got through it relatively unscathed last year and finished the season on a high with excitement building for the future. Now they have decided to screw it all up and reopen the whole debate. Not only that, they have communicated it very badly. FFS we all wanted rid of the Lerner era crest. I cannot understand how they have cocked this up so spectacularly.

    I am convinced our social media comments get spammed by fans of other clubs. My views tend to align with twitter and Villa Talk but the stuff I see on Instagram is off the charts.

    We voted for the badge. One mere employee should not get to disregard the votes of those who stood by the club through thick and thin.

    Just read that. They are keeping the old Lerner badge on the stadium. You either change or you don't. I love our new badge and to me it looks like they have made a balls of the rebrand. By going half in half out.

    Why do they never re-do the classic 1992-93 or the classic 1995-97 kits? This seems to be an homage to the 1991-92 kit which was a fairly meh effort at the time?

    Just occurred to me: our new stand is contingent on the station upgrade, the station upgrade is contingent on Birmingham being a host city for the Euros and Birmingham being a host city for the Euros is contingent on us building a new stand? Are we actually in a bit of a bind here?

    I am a centrist. The lesson of the 1930s was to bring things to the centre. Centrist politics after 1945 led to stability, social progress and the best living standards western Europe has seen. Social Democracy, Christian Democracy, third way etc all tried to bring aboit Social cohesion in Europe (British politics have always been a bit different, more emphasis on the individual in the British right). The drift, since 2008-2009 to polarised politics has been a disaster. It has got people at each other's throats and it hasn't been conducive to better policy. The world would be a better place if people went back to the centre and tried to work more collaboratively to resolve issues.

    Just read something appalling about what Russians have been doing to Ukrainian POWs. Too barbaric and sickening to repeat There is genocide happening right now and the West is not doing enough to stop it.

    Nostalgia is a huge part of the football experience. Remembering great games, big wins, childhood, great kits. I Don't understand why some people get so irritated by it.
