  1. It was in reference to MakeMineVanilla's post about taking an interest in the ethics behind where Xia's money comes from. I was referring to you in a joking way about all we can do is cry. There's nothing we can do about where the money comes from.
  2. I was thinking that lol Regardless of where the money is coming from, there's nothing we can do about it. Boycott the games? Not me, not if he's pumping money in and employing the right staff and it's enjoyable watching us again. Not on some misplaced morale code, football is littered with teams financed by people who have gotten their money from, shall we say 'shady affairs'? You ever listens to some of the stories about Abromovich? I doubt Chelsea supporters have payed much attention while they've been winning titles, the champions league and other cups.
  3. Personally I think it'll be Mourinho
  4. And what would we do if we were not happy with what we found out?
  5. I do believe it's our fault, but his football wasn't just a bit boring, it was negative, every game, whoever the opposition. Every game was set up not to lose, and that loses games, the only way to win is to have the ball in your opponents half and put it in the net, and this almost seemed as if it wasn't in the game plan for a long time in the end. This was Lerner's fault and was only down to him becoming a broken man in the end. I wouldn't want him back right now even with a £100 million budget, I think it'll be a few years before he's the manager he was when he first came to us.
  6. I completely agree on Lambert having buckets of potential at the beginning, and it being Lerner's fault that he ended up the way he did. But as you say, he's been set back years now. Hence why I wouldn't want to see him come back to the club.
  7. I liked the original post because I thought it was sarcastic, I didn't think people actually would take him back. Not in a million years, maybe the old Lambert who first arrived. Not the negative, defensive, tactically inept manager he was broken down into after his time struggling with the restrictions placed upon him here. It'll take him a few years before he regains the self confidence to manage at the top again.
  8. But that's what I was saying, I think he would get us out of the championship, but I don't rate him as a premiership manager. I don't want us to just look at getting out of this league, I want someone who has a bigger project that includes further seasons in the prem. I don't think Pearson is that man.
  9. The problem is with QPR they bought mercenaries, just there for a big wage. As people have pointed out, morale and work rate will be so important with our new players.
  10. I'm not trying to force opinions to prove my argument, I just don't rate Pearson as a top level manager, the stats back up my argument, they weren't winning games. I think had he kept the job, Leicester would be down by the relegation places again. He put most of that team together but Ranieri is the only one who I think deserves credit for this season. But as you say, it is a pointless argument purely based on the fact it's all hypothetical, he never kept the job and he probably won't be joining us either.
  11. Neither is any good really. But as I said, many teams can switch it on in the last few games. Would I be happy winning 7 at the beginning of the season and then falling apart? Of course not. I personally think Pearson deserves very little credit for what Leicester have achieved this season. This 'deserved points' argument that gets thrown around makes me laugh too. "We should have won that game". But you didn't. Points are the only thing that matters, nobody would choose good football and finishing lower down over winning every game in a shitty 1-0. Maybe they did deserve points, but they didn't get them, and that is the only thing the history books will remember and that is the difference between winning and losing and keeping your job as the manager.
  12. Would I say no to Flores? No. Would I be overawed? No, he's a decent manager. Pearson however, did shit with Leicester in the prem bar a run of what, 7 games at the end of the season? Big whoop, Wigan did that every year for 6 years, lots of teams can switch it on when relegation looms. Pearson did not have them playing good football in my opinion. Also I don't want a lunatic managing my club. Someone who grabs players by the throat, tells fans to "f**k off and die", and was constantly outspoken in the media. What few positives the man may have do not outweigh the negatives.
  13. It's not about spending money wisely, it's about his abilities. He got Leicester promoted and they had a good end to season, but they languished in 20th place for most of the season. I don't want a manager who can just get us promoted, I want someone who can hack in the premier league too.
  14. I think we've had it drilled into us. Expect nothing and you won't be upset when you get sod all. I think we need a period of things going well for the club for the positivity to return.
  15. Bale, Messi, Ronaldo and maybe Ibra if he's not too old. Anybody we want I tell you! Because "we are Aston Villa, we've got loads of money. Na Na Na Na".
  16. From Bacuna-10, we're about a Djemba-Djemba.
  17. We've made it to 10 minutes without conceding, I'd say we've had a good game.
  18. Part of me hopes he stays. I'd have to change my profile picture.
  19. I'd keep him as a squad option. I want to see a completely different midfield next season. Fair play to him, the second goal was a good finish, he'll always be one of the players you want to do well, even if you can't quite see him doing it.
  20. Thought exactly the same thing lol
  21. 9:50 and the banters' still flying.
  22. Well I'm not sure about more, but it does have less Mancs, that immediately makes it more appealing.
