    I said the same myself after the game. Last season we finally built some consistency after years of on off performances. I’m certain Emery will have looked at the Newcastle game and learned from it.

    Lots of us are underestimating them. I doubt Unai is though, and I’m sure the team will give them the respect they deserve as a result.

    I agree that we aren’t going to catch teams by buying players that they consider not good enough for themselves. There’s the odd gem that’ll work out, but I’d rather the club be looking outside the prem, really.

    I have a wish that Emery could be our Wenger and stay for years. I hate the rigmarole of finding a new manager, signing ‘his players’, give him a pre season etc etc. I just want some long term stability.
