Wouldn't be surprised if we are the Friday night fixture. Good taster for the season ahead. Briny, 5 posts up! Do you happen to know when the fixtures and times get 100% confirmed? I'm trying to plan a trip to Villa Park when i am back in the UK in sept.

I assume it is usual for all the games to be listed as 3pm Sat and then they get changed for TV over the coming weeks? What happened to Friday night games? Isn't that a thing for this season?

Humour me for a moment. If this guys tweet is true, what on earth could have failed the due diligence at this stage?

I've been meaning to post this the 22,457 other times FFP has come up in this forum, but have only got round to doing so now. Was there initially a rule that allowed the owner to sink as much money into a club as he liked as long as that money was never taken back out of the club, effectively resulting in a personal loss for said owner? I swear that I read that when FFP was in the works, did I just make it up? Edit: I'm sure it was worded to say that an owner can gift an amount of cash to the club, which can then use said cash as they see fit.

I'm not sure if this has any bearing on anything at all, but I enquired about hospitality for September and was told that they are redoing all the promotional material and will basically send it over to me first week of July. Perhaps that is just to align with the new kit... or new owners!

I was thinking about flying back from the Philippines to watch the Final, could have had hospitality due to one of the clients we work with etc but decided against it. I can see where people are coming from when they say they have had enough of Villa, but i think you just need to manage expectations. I know it's east to get excited, especially how we played against Liverpool, but there was a decent chance that the final was going to go the way it did and obviously the risk vs the reward didn't work out for you this time, but should have been expected in my opinion. Whilst it's frustrating to watch us play like a bunch of school children at times, we do enjoy the occasional victory and it's really just part and parcel of being a fan of a lower premier league team. Hopefully next season will be a little better, and for me the Saturday nights of watching the prem league with Villa sandwiched somewhere in there are still something i look forward to.
