  1. I don't get this fear of Lambert walking I really don't. We are not in Europe next season so no preparation is needed. Lambert has been a dead man walking for most of the season as his recent record would suggest and should that warrant any clamour at all to keep him? Look at our general performance level under him in the run in does that show that the players give a **** whether Lambert is at the club next season or are people still wanting to keep Lambert due to the continuity debate? If he walks which he won't and should actually be sacked then Cowans I'm sure is more than capable to keep the club ticking over even into the start of next season until a buyer and then a new manager can be brought in who might even, shock horror get better performances out of the players Lambert has signed.
  2. It makes complete sense. The only way it would make sense for me is that new owners have been identified and are ready to buy the club with Lambert as manager. Where it doesn't make sense at all is that if new owners haven't been identified yet and the club is still actively looking for a purchaser. What would then be the point in giving the present manager money to spend on players of his choice when new owners might want their own manager who wouldn't want Lambert's new purchases. That would be a complete waste of money.
  3. Yes, it seems not supporting a billionaire cutting costs or not giving a poor performing manager years of patience means you're an instant success craving modern day fan. Terrible really. No-one has "supported a billionaire" in cutting costs - but this is yet more drivel you love to post repeatedly. And yes, almost everyone has said they want significant funds to "challenge for the top 6"; even at the cost of losing the stadium name. Modern football. I haven't seen anyone supporting this either but I have seen several reasons/excuses given for it which have all excluded increased television revenue to offset Lerner's divorce for example which certainly isn't drivel. Yep that's what it is modern football and we either go with the changes or stay entrapped in the past through tradition rather than any business sense.
  4. If it's pro Villa it will be accepted and if not it will be ridiculed. Good point foreveryoung.
  5. He would need to get his bleedin hair cut if he going to manage us - looks like a girl ! Don't think any of our last three managers had that problem.
  6. Gentleman don't think the club will mind in the least if they keep us in the dark if you use the previous example of Martin O'Neill for instance. I just think if Lambert does leave then a mutual consent press release would suit all parties with reputation partially intact.
  7. If it's change for the better in that we get some long term major investment into the club which breeds success then I couldn't give a shit what they do.
  8. I hope it is broken then dodgy.
  9. He hasn't gone yet and if and when he does it might be through the mutual consent line with possible new owners coming in.
  10. Haven't seen any recent quotes from Bent as I haven't read the last few pages in the thread but you are probably right.
  11. It would also probably depend on the club sale and what budget was available and the fitness of Kozak and Benteke?
  12. We tend to get rid of those under Lambert.
  13. Question - how many times would you need to see (say) Paul Mcgrath play, before you noticed "actually he's bloody brilliant". I'm not saying Okore is in the same class, very very few were or are, but sometimes you can just tell, surely? it's harder withduff signings, as some come good after a time to settle - Bouma, for example. For me Okore looked classy, Kozak terrible, if I'm honest. Now I don't ever "give off stink" to people who hold a different view, and most people don't. So what I'm saying is if you take people at face value, and their views the same, there's less need to seemingly put other motives onot people who hold different views. I'm with you on that Pete, I haven't seen enough of either of them to say how good they will be, but my gut feeling is that Okore will be very good, but Kozak won't. Okore looks like a good, ball playing centre half who should compliment Vlaar nicely. Kozak looks like another Zigic to my untutored eye. But he did do the business at Lazio by all accounts. If both players have to hit the ground running next season with our current squad I am worried as I think it really takes a season for a player from another league to fully adapt to the PL (remember Stan). Both I think are class signings by Lambert. Funnily enough for all my criticism of Lambert I think his signings have generally been good. Tactically and formation wise we have been inept on many occasions but that's a different debate . If we are speaking generally then his signings have been poor. Why do you think the team has struggled?
  14. If Lambert is still at the club then any serious offer 3m-4m will be accepted.
  15. Would love to see that happen but the Swans would be looking fierce money for Bony and in our present predicament I just can't see it.
  16. He also brought in Luna, Bennett, Tonev, Helenius, Sylla, Bowery, Lowton and Holt. Kozak has been average while Okore seems to have been judged as a good player without anyone really seeing him playing enough. Probably by the same posters who give off stink to other posters who in their opinion criticise new players prematurely. Lambert is probably the worst person to assess our needs after two seasons of absolute shite on the pitch and turmoil off it.
  17. On contract with mobile phone companies. Spent nearly an hour on Live Chat with an O2 operative yesterday after the **** took too much out of my bank account for my monthly bill. The shit after Checking my account offered to refund the payment right away and when I asked for a good will gesture payment for the bother then reverted to saying that the amount taken from my bank account was correct. Then asked to speak to a manager. He turned out to be even a bigger dickhead than the operative and when I asked him through Live Chat if the correct amount was taken out of my account why was my O2 account £40 in credit? The bastard said it was a system failure but my bill was still correct. I then asked him since the direct debit was taken before the usual normal payment date did 02 have a policy of taking payment from customers bank accounts before the monthly bill was due? At that point the manager ended the Live Chat with have a nice day leaving me in total limbo. I then spent a further hour on the phone to a O2 Customer Service manager checking that the Live Chat had been recorded on my account , it had, and then putting a formal complaint in about the manager whose name described him perfectly, Dickson. The Customer Service Manager then credited my account with £10 and told me to chargeback the overpayment through my bank as it would take O2 up to 15 days to do the same thing while it would take the bank just a couple of hours. Head exploding gif someone.

    New Laptop

For that sort of money I'd go with one of the new MacBook Pros through the refurb store.
  19. I don't think Lambert resigning or being sacked would be detrimental to the club. First of all the season is over so no games to prepare for other than pre season which Cowans is more than able to do. Can't see there being any transfers in the offing either until the club is sold so again Cowans and the remaining back room staff should be able to handle anything that comes along and should that interim period be extended to the start of next season then does anyone really feel that we could be any worse off without Lambert taking a quick glance at his result record with us.
  20. I don't think they'll lose any sleep Richard.
  21. For telling the truth and not agreeing with your point of view?
