Today from under armour I received a Mailer, no idea how I got on their mailer and I don't recall seeing one before. Its subject was "this is just the beginning...". Cryptic good omens maybe?

I'll give him something that a lot of our other managers hasn't had. When I watch him doing interviews, I don't feel a desire to punch the screen.

I must be one of his biggest supporters week in / week out to be given a chance at least, but we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. He had a decent game tonight, in Gestede standards an excellent game. I'm not sure he's going to ever be brilliant for us, and we need to strengthen our options in this department. But for now, he's a cut above the groot and about the best option we have there and should be playing / not sold.

For our current crop of players, this is all we need to make him a starter. This much at least is definitely bleedin' obvious. He should not be sold until someone better comes in, I honestly don't think we can afford to. If what Garde has been saying later is true about players not wanting to come, maybe Garde is realising that too.

Sometimes I wonder if us fans expect too much, and maybe we don't see the bigger picture. But we were all calling this team in the pre-match thread, I even used the words "tasty"...low and behold a good selection went on to play better and won.

I've got a fair few palace fans from my time in London, they do like to post "banter" on my facebook wall. Today they just accepted that we deserved it more than they did.

YEah, we really needed that. Remi needs to now convince those players he used that was them, they did it and they can continue doing it. Oh and stick by some of the players who turned up to be counted tonight, because they played like they actually wanted to win.

The performance is all to do with selection, tactics and instructions - if the team are following them. We've rained down on him about the lack of performance from the team over the last 9 games. When he wins, he deserves the plaudit...and I said it before kick off that whatever happens I could see he has finally made the right choice in a team selection.

Reesult aside it was exactly the performance I was looking for. We could have drawn, probably lost, and I'd be saying the same.
