  1. Not convinced we have the minerals by a long shot, think "this is our year" for all the wrong reasons. I'm merely pointing out that if we're to turn it around, it will start at some point and a draw at Newcastle could be the beginning. We just need to see more from the 2nd half in 90mins of upcoming games.
  2. The stem of shit has to be stopped somewhere, and if that starts with a draw at Newcastle then so be it. Better than a loss. An inspired better 2nd half performance, if he can turn that into 90 mins then half the battle be won.
  3. I just read this in the during match thread :- We're not losing. And all I want to reply is "I know...." Baffled
  4. Few questionable changes by and large. But I share season tickets with the most pessimistic bunch you could ever meet...including myself. And what they saw was a poor first half, and great second half. First half being more even than anything, 2nd half totally outclassing them. Turn that into 90 mins and we have winners on our hands, I have them down for the season...please god prove me wrong, and from what I'm hearing...the 2nd half is a taste of proving me well wrong. Up the villa.
  5. Draw is better than a loss and we need to stop the rot somewhere
  6. Shit teams find it easy, championship fodder
  7. Adana just can't be better than what we have on the pitch if you apply the same principles as to why kosak can't get in the squad
  8. Exhibit a of why the gulf is real, this team would probably get relegated from the championship. Finishing in the top half would be a pipe dream.
  9. I find us more comparable to those I've mentioned as we'll have a team of unproven players, with an unproven manager that will have gone to prove they have no fight in a relegation battle...and no fight in the championship. We could find ourselves looking for the right manager and the right players, which won't come about in one season. For me its nailed on, relegation and we won't come up in the first time of trying. And our owner won't spend sod all to rectify the situation, even less than mike cashley makes available...
  10. People said the same about wolves, Birmingham, Leeds, Blackpool. The list goes on. And Newcastle are shite, they just might prove to have a better team than us.
  11. There is already a massive gulf between us and the rest of our current league, caused through the lowest investment in our league. Once the financial gulf is further widened, where is the money going to come from in the championship? If we continue like we are as a team, well get battered in the championship. How is it proposed we'll ever get out of that mire? We'll have to spend, well be stuck with prem wages on a team that may prove to be less than league 2 standard...with less money available than we already have, where is the magical investment likely to come? The gulf will be real, it already is.
  12. With a team of no fight in this league will continue spiraling down the championship. Missing out on TV money next season already starts the gulf of spend I'm the prem, by the team we're looking at promotion we'll be light years behind in financial clout. With the money everyone can spend / will be receiving will a mass to something we just won't be able to match. Gulf between the two leagues in termsof money and cost of players is set to be worse than ever before. Lethal dose, and well be floating in the shit for years.
  13. The situation is a tad silly, scoring under 21s is about Newcastle level..
  14. I've taken everything into account, thoroughly read this thread and digested all of the info. After careful deliberation, my opinion hasn't changed and it's very much this.
  15. I would like to compare this survey to one that gauges opinions after we're mathematically down. Think a lot of people are in denial, because there's no two ways about..Relegation will be a lethal dose for this club, and the current crop of players.

    Adama Traore

This all day, for several players actually.
  17. Come on man, that is not going to wash at all if we pathetically loss today. I won't back today's result is something to hang our manager out to dry. But at the same time in not having that pathetic excuse.
  18. Any chance of making the bench at least against Newcastle? You'd have him down to score against them...
  19. Needs full season for write off, by which time it will be too late to have done anything about it...but that's the unfortunate, and very tense, situation we're in. I can understand people being jumpy, totally get it - jumpy myself. But we do need to sit this one out, there is still half a season to go...and the run up we have is a real test to our new manager. I really don't think we can access, unfortunately, until we're already relegated...bad timing. If we're relegated with no fight, he'll be written off in my mind as he won't have what it takes to defeat the chumpionship. And conversely, if we're relegated but we put up a good fight and it's against the run of play I can very well support him in to get us out of there. Let's see.
  20. At the moment we look a team that could get relegated from the championship, I agree.
  21. I voted for the worst ever, I really think that going down will be absolute suicide for us...because I think we'll have gone down without any fight and will take nothing to the chumpionship that will help us come back up. A season out with the new TV money is monstrous, all the average clubs will be cementing their places spending the big bucks and the divide to mix it with them up there will be massive. It could also have a retrospective affect on the chumpionship, as owners slosh a bit more cash about with the view to make it up into the prem...for the money. It might all even out, but I think we'll be stuck down there for a few seasons to come and that will be to the tune of some many millions required just to catch up. Worst possible scenario, stuck under our current owner with no money...no sight of money and not even able to get promoted back up.
  22. I think it's like that 12, unless accommodated by an adult rating? They usually make these things pretty family, and there isn't usually anything "scary" per say about them...because all the dark bits of fighting and stuff my kid just sort of gets excited about. But he's a boy, so playing with guns/swords and that type of stuff is all typical for him. Has yours seen 4/5 and 6? If these didn't spook her then I'm sure it will be fine, my son has watched them multiple times lol.

    Adama Traore

9 defenders,a keep and then just let traore run about with the ball and see what happens.
  24. I think anyone hoping for anything more than a mere human shield for cowardly Lerner will be in for an upset.
  25. Really, that is exactly all it's about this season...what more could you possibly hope to achieve. Staying up for us this season with the money coming in next season is pretty much the be all and end all. Other clubs are spending next seasons money already, we could really make a good go of things if we stay up. Going down will be a total disaster, where will the money come from for us to compete in the championship? It could lead to total capitulation, and I wouldn't be hopeful on winning promotion down there at all. Poisoned chalice to go down, staying up is all we have to think about for the remainder of this season.
