Honestly, I couldn’t give a toss about any cup game this season and I don’t get the clamour for it from anyone else as of right now. I don’t blame Unai using them to test out second string players. For me it’s all about finishing as high as possible this season in the league and reinforcing with new recruits in January and next summer and then get ready for next season when hopefully a proper push for top half football and the possibility of daring to dream of European football returning to VP can be had.

Not an unproductive night. Emery didn’t do much wrong in terms of chasing the game and subs, it just didn’t pan out. A good game to learn more about your squad. On the plus side, at least he knows McGinn and Olsen are done here I imagine and he can work on weaknesses in the others who have question marks over their heads but are still capable. There are a couple I think he will cut ties with and few he will have identified that he needs to work with to improve.

Just because some people don’t like everything starting way too early doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy it when it gets here. It’s literally my favourite time of the year, I make sure I get the time booked off work. I can’t wait to spend time with my family and I get excited to go and buy all the food, snacks and presents. Seeing all the lights and decorations everywhere makes me feel like a kid again. But it’s the 10th of bloody November. It’s still Autumn ffs. Adverts started at the end of September. 2 and a half months of it just spoils it and dilutes the experience imo. You don’t need nearly a quarter of a year dedicated to it.

The Middle East/Islamic culture as a whole sure does seem to be ultra defensive about and have a problem with people being LGBTQ+ don’t they. Doth protest too much me thinks. I’ve kind of accepted it will be the round badge but I really want the shield so I’ve tinkered a bit more to add a bit more interest as it is a bit basic. I’d already added a claret pin stripe through the middle of the blue outline and that definitely improved it so I’ve also added darker claret pinstriping into the main body of the badge. Kind of a nod to the 90s stripes badge without being outdated. Imo it drastically makes it more interesting and a bit more regal/traditional yet still moving into a modern era. I’m determined to make this shield design work lol. What do you guys think?

Tried to get as proper colours as possible. I have to say it does look loads better than the drab dark original.

I haven’t played any modern Rally games at all let alone the modern WRC ones. Been playing Generations today and I am really enjoying it though it’s tough as nails at times. Not as hard as Richard Burns Rally was though. Good lord that game was brutal. I only got it as I knew it was their last hurrah with the licence and reviews say they’ve chucked everything at it plus the price was a belter for a new ps5 game only a few days old. I wouldn’t go higher than £30 though.

Does anyone else feel like the Lion’s head is too far back, it looks like the whole thing needs rotating to the right a few degrees. Looks like it’s falling backwards.

I’m not entitled to vote and would have chosen option 1. It appears those who are able to vote prefer round and those who can’t prefer the shield.

Option 2 is firmly stuck in the past. It’s not even a ‘modern version of’. I’m not against a round badge but for the love of god do something interesting with it. The only thing I like about that version presented to us is the lion and the blue outer line. I really want something different if I’m honest. We aren’t in the 80’s anymore. It was 40 years ago. I really hope the fan base are brave and go for the shield and push for a couple of tweaks with it.

I’ve just played around with the shield a bit and if you make the purple an ever so slightly lighter shade and a bit more claret-y plus the font a touch brighter it makes it loads better.

Who are the muppets who wanted less yellow and more claret and blue is what I want to know. A mostly claret and blue badge on a claret and blue shirt? How would anything stand out? Daft.
