i never said you did or even implied you did there are in this thread however a large amount of comments like and other shit like he cant play lamberts formation? of course he cant if he isnt picked! odd that he has scored for every other manager in countless formations with a vast array of player quality from crap to top class, he scores. yet this magical system lambert has which is apparently completely different to any other managers formations of all time, bent cant play in because all he does is score goals when playing as a forward yet gabby 1 goal in 35 premier leage games seems to be right for this formation, this formation which sees us as pretty much the lowest scoring team in the premeir league this season so far, and oddly one of the worst defence records also in the league this season. so this magical formation appears to be more of the problem than bent as without him we havent exactly gone racing up the league and thats despite playing with players who have had 12 or more games now to settle into their new club, something which normally takes a bit of time. all seems very confusing that apparently bent is shit and lazy, yet i cant see most of the other players scoring, it must mean they are also shit and lazy because they are not doing what they are paid to do, at least bent, who is paid to put the ball in the net manages to do that regularly throughout his entire life as a footballer. very very strange..

yet the score line remained the same? so that kind of shits on all this" if bent plays we will concede more goals because we go down to 10 men" rubbish often spouted. now to give him some service and the goals will come

lowton is shaping up nicely, for me he has been our best buy, benteke is getting the headlines but he cost 7 million, lowton has solved what for villa has been one of the troubleome spots over the last few years ( since young was played out of position on the lft and then dropped). mellberg did solid enough but lowton looks like he will keep on improving, lets just hope its not 2nd season burn out which alot of players seem to have nowdays. good signing by lambert

the current style of playing? what, you mean not scoring many goals at all? he has played numerous formations and 'styles' which yesterday ended up being a throw back to last seasons abortion of a manager odd really because bent has played numerous styles for numerous managers previously, inlcuding a passing team in spurz, a team with wingers in villa, up front on his own charlton, with a big man at sunderland, with top players for england.. so all these other tactics and formations and styles are nothing like what lamberts magical formula for success is? i think that says more about the manager than the player, when the player has proved it at every level and has scored at every level regularly under all kinds of team, formations, tactics. so to say he doesnt fit in with lambert 'style of play' or formation or tactics is a weak excuse for leaving him out due to clearly a personal issue

i can only guess he didnt watch the game then qpr who are shit, had something like 70% of the ball today and had countless shots, looking dangerous each time they came forwards, there was so much time and space it was a joke. and to keep herd on and keep ireland on the bench was criminal there is no other way to describe today but mcleishish and that is no compliment are we going to rely soley on hoofing it to benteke and expect him to play well each game? that may last another couple games before he gets burned out completely

hmm yet his goal ratio seems slightly better than gabbys? 1 in 33 league games? it is like plaing with 10 men if he doesnt score? so he doesnt distract defenders, make runs pull players away from others to score, he justs stands still and waits on the goal line to score? just because he plays differently to beteke doesnt mean he does nothing if he doesnt score, it means you are not capable of appreciating HIS work rate happens to be a different style to other players. if guzan isnt saving a ball is it like playing with 10 men? no, he is organising the defence, ditributing the ball AND making saves. he doesnt run around or do press ups and sit ups while the ball is the other end of the pitch, does that make him lazy and not trying? no doubt you though greaves was shit, lineker a joke, ian rush utter w@nk and so forth after all they were the same type of player as bent

its 100% of what can be judged, just over 1/3 of the season gone using the players at his disposal it seems a large enough sample for lambert to judge he doesnt think bent can play in his system, despite the facts showing we score more with him in this system anyway back on track im guessing wilfred bony is the target to replace bent but we will go for charlie austin downing but most likely we will go for someone like matt phillips of blackpool and if possible lescot

? and how pray tell does one gets stats of the future? they are the stats from THIS season, using THESE players, playing THIS system it tells absolutely everything and also proves everything when someone says if bent is played in this system we will score less goals because that statement is wrong, we dont. and its backed up with facts.
