  1. I only hope whatever happened this week will be forgotten about tommorow.
  2. It'd be great to have that as a gif image, can anyone sort it?
  3. Personally i could see injury's crippling Everton this year, they haven't been able to go and strengthen like we have. We've already lost Davies to injury but were able to sign two defenders to cover, Everton sold Lescott, while already having Jagielka injured, signed Distin to cover the departure but they're still thin on the ground. a knock to Yobo or Distin, and it could see Phil Neville back at centre half. Oh. hang on....
  4. Spot on. the only let down is, i think we've come to expect more Milner with those chances he's had.
  5. I think if anything comes out of these votes, it's what a shower of shite we were for the majority of the 00's.
  6. I can only presume that O'Neill sees Cuellar as a safer bet than Baye, i don't see any sense in changing the midfield though. Think we can really put some pressure on Quadrue, never a centre half. I just hope to god we beat them.
  7. I've got to say, i think people moaning about goalkeepers should move the difficulty level up, i've seen some feedback on some gaming sites and there's a general consensus that the keepers are abit crap. I'm playing on the top level and finding the Keepers to be great, making some stunning saves. I must have put in about 5 hours on this demo, absolutely love it. I think alot of things that made FIFA 09 annoying they've worked on. You can't simply skate through an entire team anymore, even with Messi. Shooting feels alot better, my only downside is probably due to my inability but Heading and crossing is really tough, they've put even more emphasis on timing of headers.
  8. Did we? It looked to me like Milner moved into the middle and Gabby to the right. Infact, that is what happened. This was the only down side to yesterday. When I saw that Carew was coming on I thought that it would be a straight swap for Gabby. When NRC's number flashed up (which was disappointing as he had a good game) I naturally assumed that we were switching to 4-4-2. To keep the same formation and put Gabby on the right, which in effect weakened our midfield, was a strange decision indeed. To come back to this, we definately continued in the 4-5-1. Gabby was wide right or left (switching with Ash) and Carew up front with Milner doing Reo-Coker's harrying in midfield.
  9. i've got a feeling this will be the defence against blose. Beye-Cuellar-Dunne-Warnock. I think especially as Dunne has come back to Villa early and is not appearing in tommorow's friendly for Ireland, it'll give the defence abit of time to get used to each other in training. The rest of my team would be: Reo-Coker-Petrov-Sidwell Milner----------------Young ----------Gabby-------------
  10. FIFA 10 demo is out on the 10th of september.
  11. Delaney was a great player, i loved those sliding tackles he'd do, where it seemed like his legs would stretch out along the turf to nick the ball away. I still think it was a nice gesture of O'Neill to keep him on the books till he came to terms with his retirement.
  12. I think we should have kept James for alot than we did, He was pushed out the door to make way for a 'glamour' signing of Schmeichal, Yet another one of Doug's mistakes.
  13. i'm pleased overall, 'If' Dunne signs then we'll have first team and cover for every position in defense, two good goalkeepers, Downing (when fit) is competition for Ash, Albrighton is looking better and better to cover Milner. With Gardner, Petrov, Delph, Reo and Sidwell all competing for 3 midfield slots. Up front we've got Heskey, Carew and Gabby to compete for the one striking role.
  14. dare i say it, i think their strike force looks pretty light weight.
  15. I think 4-5-1 is the future of our team tbh. we stiffled any sort of attacking play by Fulham, and managed to get moves going quickly. I also think Delph in for Petrov would also allow us to get more support up front quicker.
  16. I'm gonna be shot down for this but i'd be tempted to play Heskey today, Hangaland and Hughes may well be able to handle Carew but i think adding another bulking mass might just unsettle them. I'd prefer a 4-5-1 though tbh, with Carew up on his own.
  17. Results like last night will surely tempted you, about time we broke the Old Trafford curse too.
  18. i think we have a winner, a serious question has to be asked as to why he didn't appear at all against wigan, i'm fully behind MON, but at the moment i cannot see a villa team without Reo-Coker in it.
  19. People laughed in the summer when we were linked to Titus Bramble, one things for sure, we'd have done well to have him in our team yesterday, hardly put a foot wrong, Scharner also showed why we tried to sign him, oddly enough in the position that we wanted him for.
  20. We'll do them tommorow. The Lions will roar!
  21. we will win tommorow, Wigan's resilience in recent years has everything to do with Steve Bruce, it's not coincidence that as soon as he left blose then we started hammering them.
  22. no, he's a word removed. Just like Dwight Yorke IMO.
