  1. And to think I once said no keeper can possibly be worse than Bunn
  2. Now now lads, Bruce just needs a little more time to turn things around, and let's not forget he's been promoted 4 times!
  3. Then again it's a fine line between "doing a bad job" and actually being "out of depth". I don't believe his past success by any means necessitates he's incapable of being out of depth. But that's an altogether different discussion. Bruce is undoubtedly doing a bad job at the moment, there can be no doubt about that. Imho he isn't that far away from seemingly being out of his depth. He inherited one of the most expensive sides ever built in this division. Sure there were some imbalance issues with the squad, and a few players with a poor attitude. Was he able to get the best out what he had at his disposal? Did he manage to build a working system? No and hell no. In fact he didn't even try. Instead he went and bought an entirely new team, and the way things are looking, he doesn't even seem to be capable of producing results with his 'own players'. That to me signals a manager being "out of depth".
  4. Then why the f**k aren't you doing anything about it! Why not go all out and actually challenge the opposition for once. It's not like we've got anything more to lose... Well apart from relegation, that is.
  5. The thing that eats me the most is I'm fairly certain Bruce won't change his overly cautious approach, and that'll most likely be his downfall.
  6. Another week's passed. Same shit, different day. Once again he's resorted to negative tactics at home. It's becoming impossible to defend him. I couldn't care less if we lose a majority of the remaining games, as long as there's a glimmer of hope for the future, and some actual progress happening. Sadly there is none.
  7. If this were to happen, it would be an absolute abomination. Don't think Tony would have it. The way I see it, Bruce's lifeline is getting shorter by each dropped point. He'll most likely not even survive the next 4-5 games, if a radical improvement doesn't occur, and rightfully so. On the other hand, every improved performance should warrant a little more leverage and time.
  8. People turn on the manager when they feel he's not doing a good enough job. We are supporters of the football club, some are even paying customers. I don't think it's unreasonable to demand better, especially considering how much we've spent compared to other sides in the ELC. Also let's not forget that these managers get paid millions every year. They're all used to this sort of pressure. The problem with this day and age is, we all want instant success.
  9. I'm sorry but you just keep coming up with new excuses in almost every post. Learning to play together... 4 away games... not enough time to gel... etc.. Before the January window the mantra was "not his players", and "RDM left us without a midfield"... Don't get me wrong, they're all in a sense valid, but it doesn't take away the fact that something is terribly wrong, and not much has changed in months. A some point we have to seriously start questioning the manager. I was willing to give him more time, at least til the end of the season, but now I'm not so sure anymore. For me to change my viewpoint, a massive improvement of " the basics" for the game against Ipswich is essential, otherwise Bruce can piss off.
  10. No it didn't, as we never had any form. We did however lose our goal threat. I don't know what Bruce was thinking, perhaps his plan was to use a new system with McGate, and we all know how that went.
  11. Have to disagree here. We are playing much worse with him in the team. Every single attack dies the instant he gets a hold of the ball, and he isn't nearly effective enough that we can afford that. In fact, I'd say his goal return would most likely be 1 in 1 if he knew how to pass, or he'd have a dozen assists to add to his stats. I'm not saying we'll necessarily tear teams apart with him being on the sidelines, but it's worth trying out. We might just be able to conjure up something reassembling a game plan in his absence. Attacks where others also participate. This could be the kick in the arse he needs as well. IMHO he needs to be put down to earth sooner or later.
  12. Interesting, as it's kinda contradictory to what Tony has been saying these last few days.
  13. Spot on mate. I'm also advocating dropping Kodjia, as he isn't a team player. Sadly don't think Bruce has got the balls to do it.
  14. Agreed, but then again we also need to SEE some sort of IMPROVEMENT! It's astonishing really, because Bruce started off so well. Granted some of victories were down to sheer individual moments of brilliance by (mostly) Kodija. Then in spite of results, he started changing and chopping, especially in the midfield. Let's assume he was searching for his best eleven. Fine, you do this for a couple of weeks. Then it's settled. It's not really rocket science. Some players are starting players, others impact players, which you bring in if need be. No visible change happened. He didn't find his best eleven, nor could he really settle on a formation. More importantly, he was/is unable to come up with a clear-cut game plan, of how you actually win a football match. In some matches he's made astute substitutions, no question about it, but more recently he's just left it all too late. Fact of the matter is we just keep hoofing and clearing up-field, hoping for the best, and all the while inviting more pressure on ourselves. You can always see the nervousness gathering towards the end of games. Seeing as the January business was quite well planned and executed, I'd have thought he'd secretly developed a system for the new players to slot in right away. They are after all his players, or at least I'm assuming so. Brentford was a shambles. No game plan. Wrong formation. No plan at all. Utterly idiotic to start players that haven't played for 5 weeks. Nottingham wasn't much better. No game plan, yet again more hoofing, and almost no possession. He's had 4 months. Please tell me, when will we start to see some positive improvement!? I reiterate, he is still tactically clueless. Ps. And don't get me started on the whole ACON thing... recalling Gabby... letting Gestede leave straight away
  15. Can't see a way back for him anymore. He'll be out for the remainder of the season, and in the summer we'll (hopefully) get a new manager in. So long Gabby, you won't be missed!
  16. Watched the Leicester game myself, and have to agree, the similarities in 'performance' are there. The bigger question for me is how on earth could Bruce already have lost the dressing room, it's that's the case? I really can't begin to express my surprise at how things have turned out. I didn't think much of Bruce, and still don't. He's a relic of a manager, tactically clueless, and won't ever grasp the modern game. Having said that, his team usually are united, play with heart, and are tough to beat. This was the least I was expecting, but we are none of those things, and there really hasn't been the slightest of improvement.
  17. Just listened to Bruce's pre match interview. I understand these sort of interviews are somewhat 'forced', and I don't think Bruce is any worse than other managers, but I can't help feeling he's lost some of the early enthusiasm and determination to succeed here. He looked dejected and genuinely worried, which I guess, could be a positive also, if we actually were to get something out of tomorrow's game. And I really hope so, because I honestly want to see him turn it around, now more than ever.
  18. Should be a walk in the park for us, considering we snatched their 'best player', and loaned them ineligible garbage.

    Carles Gil

Yeah let's bring Gil back, we need another scapegoat now that Westwood's gone.
  20. Don't think anyone's suggested that. Well perhaps Woodytom
