  1. All part of the New Villa, get used to it Before all this internet malarky the first we heard of a signing or sacking etc was in the stop press of the Mail, on BRMB or Central news....agh the good old days!. At least we didn`t waste half our life posting on internet sites moaning and groaning about this or that signing, potential signing or unrealistic rumours.... hang on what am I doing here !!!!!!!
  2. You know Liverpool well then do you? Said Bistro has a private dining area that can be hired for meetings. What restaurant is it? 60 Hope Street - although I now have reason to believe it may have been 40 Hope Street (The Boutique Hotel)

  4. Regarding Moyes - My wife works in the city (Liverpool) and was told by two different people today (one a red, the other a blue) that Randy Lerner met with Moyes yesterday in a Liverpool hotel/Bistro. Furthermore I was told by a trusted friend that Dunne and some of the squad are talking up Moyes as their preferred choice of replacement manager. Dunne still has good friends (in the media) up here on Merseyside and was speaking about this following our victory over Everton. Could all be bollocks of course, however I have no reason to believe these people are either being mischievous or malicious. Finally some bookies on Merseyside have suspended betting on Moyes coming to B6 . Only time will tell.
  5. Bollocks to champagne JV I`ll be looking for a giant spliff 8)
  6. If thats true MM I could kiss you (in a non gay sort of way). All those sitting around me in the lower north will be extremely happy as they won`t have to hear my moaning and whinging when that useless **** comes on after 60 mins.
  7. Well written as ever Peter. I enjoyed the "away Villa" far more than the version we got to see at home.. Towards the end of last season home games were becoming a "chore". Hopefuly, whoever comes in can create a fortress at home where sides fear visiting. Recent photos and inteviews with MON showed a body language of a person who was not at ease with his lot. Hopefully it is not related to his or his wife`s (Geraldine?) health. I would like to wish him well but I am disappointed in the timing of his decision - perhaps we will get his side of the story when his book is reprised or if he decides to spill the beans to Gary on MOTD. Personally I wouldn`t be too surprised to see him back at Celtic
  8. I totally agree Maz ..when motivated and given a specific job to do - i.e man to man marking - he is top notch. Not exactly creative but a great ball winner with the proverbial " good engine". All he should do is win the tackles and make the short pass to the creative midfielder - whoever that turns out to be.
  9. What a superb piece of writing... For those who take a simplistic view of all matters Claret and Blue (myself included) this clearly highlights our predicament and ably demonstrates why we cant just rush out and buy a new striker for £30m. I agree, it deserves a wider audience
  10. :-) :-) I think you have to be of a certain age to appreciate that one - a chuckle maker Regretably I am !
  11. Already been allowed into Villa Park - I was there in 1966, Uwe Seller played for West Germany against Argentina I recall.
  12. Who would I be happy with? ........anyone other than my missus I guess (Only joking darling!!) I know who I would be happier without ....Played in the World Cup for England, falls over a lot, doesn`t score, offers nothing for us(home or way) and his surname rhymes with Pesky

Great report Bicks - I hope you weren`t in full view of SG`s CCTV cameras as I can just imagine the Formby Times Headlines: "Serial slasher attacks innocent Stevie`s grand Formby Mansion - Police seek unkept old man with inadequate todger !!!" Cheers - UTV PS should have gone the Freshie for a decent pint !!!!
