I have lost a lot of faith in AM since the start of the season; he earned some back today. He has started to get it right over the last few games. Well done to Alex and the team today.

Quite a lot of people thought that about Barry when he first started. I agree with you to a point that I think he is better defender than midfielder right now. Do I believe he could become a top class holding midfielder? Yes I do. Do I think Villa have the time to develop and work with him there. Not sure about that.

It doesn't matter what Villa do some of you won't be happy until AM is gone. That's your choice of course but give credit where it's due. Everyone knew what to expect against Stoke but then they complain about a negative game. Then they complain that Stoke were poor; well many the Villa bous deserve some credit for that. The defense was much better today against a team most would score against us from set pieces. We try and get the ball down and pass it; still not good enough. The boys give their all still not good enough. I've not been happy with this season but let's look at the positives in a pretty difficult game. Someone needs to tell Marc that when you have gail blowing behind you, you don't float balls into the box you whip them in low and hard. You could see Gabby's frustration everytime he was doing it.

Until I got to Given you had me. :oops: I even skipper around Hutton but then again most attackers have this season so why should I be an exception.

Great news it seems Collins will be fit along with Heskey. :shock: A similar performance to yesterday and we could walk away with three points.

Hutton out for next game so hopefully Herd will be back and he can play. The worst thing could happen now is Cuellar to RB and Collins back in the middle. Clark and Petrov looked a nice balance. Gabby wasn't getting into position at either end of the field. I'll forgive him his bad game as he has been great this season. He knew he blew it for their goal at the end.

That's odd, one of the (non-'itk') guys on the other linked forum said he recently got a letter about the mandatory sale of his shares. Is it possible Randy bought up to 96% of the shares soon after buying the club, then recently bought up the remaining 4%? I too had a similar letter about 3 weeks back now. I have voted no only because I can't watch the dredge anymore. The last three games I have been watching the clock more than the game. I don't think I have ever done that before. Unless he can change the way we can play in the next few games then he needs to go. I'm not saying we have to win games but at least look like we are going to try and win.

Good news, Beye helped Doncaster beat top of the table Southampton.

Happy for him to be back in a job; the Premier League will be better for it. Still can't get over how he planned to do as much harm to the club he could by the way he left. For me that was worse than his part in the finanical mess. He could go some way in repaying us by signing Collins and Petrov from us.
