  1. That version is on Lastfm I think Not sure if it is strictly legal or whatever but if you need it badly couldn't you find some sort of Audio ripper and download it from that
  2. This old chestnut, I have been arrseted once for being drunk and disorderly, got a nice £80 fine for that never been in trouble with them other than that, dont get me wrong I have partaken in the odd illegal activity in my youth but I never got collared for it, These day's I'm far too lazy to worry about breaking the law
  3. Just starting this today, I have got a feeling it will take me a while to work my way through this one, then I'll be going for something a little bit more normal that the satanic/demonic/haunting shite I have been reading just lately so it'll probably be to kill a mocking bird after this one
  4. Never read any of his stuff before to be honest moon man but I read this a while back and have been wanting to read turn of the screw ever since
  5. I've been meaning to thank you for recommending Thomas Ligotti. He really is an extraordinary writer, absolutely love Teatro Grottesco and looking forward to reading his other stuff. No worries, it has taken me a while to get through ''Teatro Grottesco'' but I'm not too worried about that because they are all short stories but so far I am loving them (though they are pretty **** bleak aint they) you need to get ''my work is not yet done'' by him I thought that was brilliant. I know this sounds stupid but to me he comes across as one of the more educated horror writers of today.
  6. ok then I am currently finishing off 'teatro grottesco' that I mentioned on the other page and have just been out and bought a further 3 books (I now have 11 or 12 books to read, I'm going to put a ban on myself from going to waterstones and amazon) Turn of the Screw And then because I cant just stick to the classics I thought I had better throw in this The first one was pretty decent so I'll give this one a go as well
  7. Nah, Ive known them for years, nothing wierd about it, probably find her fella had just been paid which explained the curry and then they just had a **** load of stuff left over for dinner.
  8. Rite O then since the VT faithful have spoken I will make sure I DHUTWU and get pictures. The things I do for you lot
  9. I'd rather not, I'm happy to just collect free food
  10. I live above my mates mom, I just txt him a picture of the dinner and he txt me back saying I'm a word removed and its more than he ever got
  11. I am buzzing man, yesterday I went the pub and then popped downstairs to my neighbours to order a curry and they paid for that, they refused to let me put anything towards it and today I have just had a phone call telling me to pop downstairs again only to be greeted by a **** gigantic turkey dinner, I have bought it back up and I'll monster that when the football is on. Only thing that could spoil the day now is a typically shite performance from the villa
  12. good fight that was, Martinez didn't know where he was when the final punch was thrown, always a danger that you can get caught like that when you constantly walk forward like that.
  13. haven't seen nil by mouth for years and years, pretty bleak if I remember rightly
  14. I'm glad that the ref has told Frampton to stay upright, at times he is crouching down his head is in his knees and its taking away all of Martinez' target making it impossible to hit him, its not good defence its almost cowardly. Good scrap so far though. Martinez is definitely the aggressor but Frampton is finding some decent shot's now
  15. second round Selby did look really good, the punches and movement were spot on, you wouldn't have expected Lindsay to last the distance after watching that round, mind you he soaked them up pretty well
  16. just watching the boxing from last night just on the Selby fight at the minutes, first round nearly finished
  17. couldn't agree more, why the **** shouldn't you discuss it if it has already been aired???? films are different there is a kid that I work with and he takes great delight in going and seeing something at the cinema and then blurting out everything that happens in it before anyone gets a chance to see it, he has ruined 2 or 3 films for me that way, now that really **** me off but if it is something on telly then you haven't got any complaint at all. Its like if there was some boxing on in the early hours that I recorded, the last thing I would do is wake up and go into the boxing thread before watching it and then going mad at everyone in there for discussing the conclusion of the fight
  18. congrats mate my dad was born in a beer garden, and they wonder I turned out how I did...and that is no lie me nan dropped him whilst sitting on a bench drinking a pint of lager actually I have made a little bit of that up I have no idea what me nan was drinking at the time
  19. am I the only one who is more interested in where I am going rather than where I have been???? in either case it aint far
  20. my pub has been taken over its my local pub and its literally a 1 minute walk from where I live, its got a bad reputation which stops people coming in (it works in our favor cuz everyone in there knows each other and strangers are more than welcome but the trouble makers don't normally come in), its an orrible old pub but the atmosphere is always cracking in there, there has been no problem in there for at least 3 years and we always have a good crack on a Friday night. last week a load of...I don't know what you call them, chavs? scally's came in, all late 20's early 30's and as soon as they walked in you could feel the atmosphere change, they were looking for a scrap. tonight I go in there and see a kid I haven't seen in years and I know he is a prick of the highest order, 20 minutes after him all of his mates come in, 20 minutes after they come in a fight nearly breaks out. nothing actually happened but I wont be going in there for a few weeks, you know they are only in there because they have been kicked out of every other pub in the area. feel pretty shit now, that was like my safe haven but now I think I would rather avoid them types and stay away from them rather than stay around until it kicks off. any way I am sitting down now watching quatermass and the pit with a can of stella waiting for my meal to be delivered
  21. Is it good? I'll have to wait untill May before the swedish edition is out. YeAh it's really good but I would recommend giving yourself a little refresher on the passage before reading it, some of the characters took a while to get them back in my head if you get me. It's pretty different to the first book but I haven't found that this one drags as much as the passage did, at times I struggled with that to be honest even though I thought it was brilliant lol It wasn't that long ago that I read it so I don't think it'll be a problem. It was a bit slow at times, but very good. Loved it. I finished this last night. A few things I will say about it It flows a lot easier than the last one and he has toned down that kind of poetic style of description that he used in the first book which is probably why this one is only 500 pages instead of the passages 700. The intertwining stories work well but can be pretty confusing trying to remember who is who. Amy isn't as much of a predominant figure in the book and I thought she actually came across as one of the weaker characters in it. Some parts seem to have been lifted directly from the stand by Stephen King also to save you getting lost with the characters THERE IS A GUIDE AT THE BACK OF THE BOOK TO TELL YOU WHO IS WHO...jesus H christ I could have done with knowing that before I got the end and found it
  22. supposed true story, there is quite a bit of info scattered about on the net about it and it is one of the more famous exorcism's. haven't started it yet, I'm going to have a quiet Friday night tonight and get started on it
  23. Something that has never really interested me but my mom went back years and years to when people signed their names with an X because they couldn't read or write. Apparently nearly all of my family is from Birmingham the furthest away that someone is from is Dudley or something like that
  24. well just got back to the office after our meeting **** hell there is about 100 jobs going, I wish I was one of the ones who was getting made redundant the people that make these decisions have absolutely no clue at all what goes on, my job is going to be pretty much unworkable now
