This, absolutely this, especially as its coming up to xmas office meal time of year. I like some of the lads I work with but to be honest after 12 hours shift work the last thing I need is a 3 course dinner forced down me, making polite small talk with the thought of a 20 mile drive home ahead of me. The boss always chooses the same boring venue as well. I once took the piss out of the lighthouse family and I still think he hasn't totally forgiven me, 10 years later on so you can see what sort of bloke we're dealing with here ! Sulk sulk ! xmas office parties/meals/nights out ? Been there, done that to death. Bored of it all but he takes it personally if I drop out. Does my head in.

Gents and ladies I have took delivery of the above little box that connects via an ethernet cable to the sky plus hd box and should wirelessly hook up to my broadband router.......but doesn't. Everything is wired up ok and powered on but when I turn on the wfp on the router it still doesn't work. My sky + box isn't connected with the router. Never has been. The router works fine with my laptop etc so it isn't a net connection issue. Anybody else had issue with this kit ? Advice greatly appreciated.

Apologies if already been mentioned but......fancy dress at cricket matches ! Yeah, as if you're the first person ever to go dressed as Elvis or a superhero or a giant banana. This idea has been done to death & I don't want to see a close up of a 20 stone drunk smurf whose blue face paint has been rubbed off & quite honestly mate you look a tit. Sutton Coldfield famers market.....2nd Friday every month. Fowlers cheese stall do the extra extra mature cheddar and it has to be the strongest cheddar I have ever tasted. It stinks so you need to put it in a container in the fridge. This stuff pees all over so called x rated supermarket cheese. It aint cheap but it's perfect with a glass of red and some crackers.

I went to turners cross for a Cork city game a few years ago and they were playing a Dub team.......all I could remember was the away fans kept singing that song "why do you build me up, buttercup " for the whole game. Is that the shams lot ?

Has anyone have any experience of the above ? Long story short, I want to clear my late mum's house of furniture and stuff we don't want. There is nowhere to drop a skip outside, really and taking it all to the tip would take too long, plus I dont have the right vehicle to do it. Do I pay them or do they pay me for "salvage" ? Opinions/experiences greatly appreciated, as usual.

Does anyone know of the cost if any ? Been on skype website and I think its free but not sure. I want to skype video call my cousin from my pc to her smartphone. Got a nagging feeling they charge for this. Anyone have experience of this or use the same service I'm after ? Cheers.

Clearings in the woods who after filling up with petrol then decide to almost do their week's shopping in the mini store, leaving me queued up behind them, running on fumes. Bit odd I know but here's the thing : Back in 1985 i spunked £250 on a rather smart, grey heavy quality sheepskin jacket - not 3/4 length but the usual length past the waist but not to the knees. I wore it 3 times & ever since then its been bagged up & me mam's house....for 27 years to be precise. My question is : are these type of coats frowned upon now ? The collar is grey fur but synthetic. I dont see them around - not that I have been looking that closely. Or with the "retro/vintage" theme en voque is it worth me flogging it ? Thoughts please, thanks

Radio wm footy phone in....insomuch that there are regular callers,some of whom honestly believe that we actually give a toss about their opinions. In particular, terry in stirchley (wba), paul in castle vale (small heath "knoworramean franksy ?") but the one who really gets on my norks is some schoolboy called Si or Simon (villa) who has this know it all attitude at the age of probably 14 & gives the impression that he is some kind of oracle on all things villa. Go do your homework instead of calling in. Sorry if this upsets anyone who knows him personally....believe me i would hate him if he supported anyone else. What i want to say is dont give the same old people airtime. Harumph :-(
