    Initially quite liked both, the more I look at the shield one it just seems "off" to me so I'd go with round. The hybrid someone mocked up earlier would be my pick in a perfect world. Either is a massive improvement on our current monstrosity.

    Quite bizarre really, all the PR yesterday looked like a push to set him apart as a sensible option, yet he only thing missing from that same old shit PMQ's performance was a "captain hindsight" reference. I know in practice and policy its business as usual but I'm surprised they've immediately embraced that from an optics perspective too.

    How about that, pick a balanced team, sure up the centre mid and it releases everyone to play to their strengths. All the pundits will start wailing about the players letting Gerrard down but **** that, complete opposite is true. Lovely to see them show what they are capable of when they aren't hamstrung from the off.

    The batshit political timeline we are currently in would suggest Johnson gets it and is almost immediately suspended when ongoing ethics committee investigation concludes. About a week ago (when the idea of a Johnson return was still ludicrous) there was a journalist on BBC I think saying how they had a whole stack of other stories ready to go if he attempted a return. That could be interesting if true.
