Didn’t realise Southampton signed Onuachu. Started to wonder if anyone would ever pick him up, remember signing him on football manager a few years ago as he was one of the only, or maybe only, strikers with 20/20 heading (at 6ft 7). Might give that one a watch, was scoring goals for fun at Genk.

Does voiding their titles mean another team needs to be awarded it retrospectively though? Completely disagree that taking honours from them mean nothing, I think it’s one of the few punishments that will actually mean something. A monetary fine and a points deduction this season would mean nothing. If the investigation has proven unprecedented cheating over the last decade has been the backbone of their ‘success’ I have absolutely no issue with this being voided, in fact I welcome it. I do agree that retrospectively awarding other teams honours is a non-starter though. -
£10m then 17 games in the Portuguese league and a good World Cup later, £105m. What on Earth are Chelsea playing at? Can’t see how it isn’t going to go completely tits up at this point.

January is always a funny window, nobody wants to lose any regulars, let alone their better players, midway through a season. Of course a star acquisition would have been nice, and I’m sure we tried. But I do see little need to pay over the odds on a gamble now to try and cement Europe if the opportunity cost is the detriment of the summer window. Hopefully Emery has bought into this being a project and is here for the long haul, I’d much rather we were careful and got the right players in.

Anybody would think it’s a forum of 100s if not 1000s of people each with their own distinct opinion. Id wager those who are actually flap flapping from one extreme to another on an individual level is a tiny minority.
