  1. I thought he was excellent, particularly first half. Constantly bombing forward.
  2. I like him further up the pitch with Sanchez sitting deeper. I do think he should have scored or at least done a little better with that shot, although I may be being too harsh I only saw it once.
  3. Exactly how I saw it, the fact Richards even managed to get anything on the ball showed he was positioned fine. Yes Sanchez put Clark in the situation, I even mentioned this in the Sanchez thread, although he may have been fouled. But it's still a fairly bread and butter defensive situation for Clark who then lets his man cut inside past him and shoot.
  4. Did we play like shit though? The result was shit for sure but the performance wasn't, we could have and should have won comfortably. Yeah, should have won and could have won if he made changes. They made changes and it paid off for them. What changes what have guarenteed us the win then? We made more than enough chances to win, but the players themselves didnt take them.
  5. Technically we could say it was Richards slide and deflection that cost us the points. If he had been in position and covering Clark, he wouldn't have had to slide. No chance. It was completely Clarks fault. In your opinion. In a coaching opinion, you look for your defenders to cover one another. Richards didn't do that, so some blame lies there. You also have to look at Sanchez (who also had a good game), and how easily he was brushed off the ball. More than one player made their biggest mistake of the game leading to the goal, but lets throw it onto one player. It so easy to blame one player once the ball goes into the net, but you have to look at everyone else who should have prevented it. I'm not saying Clark shouldn't have done better, or be replaced by Lescott, if we get him. But to throw all the blame onto him, and not leave some for others, shows a lack of insight. Condescending bollocks. In my opinion.

  8. Bar his poor defending? isn't that his whole purpose? I did think his hair looked a little off.
  9. This Spurs team is woeful, probably the worst I've ever seen it.
  10. He was excellent today, happy to say he's a lot better CB than I thought he'd be.
  11. He wasn't out thought at all. The opposition manager bought on more attackers and they were losing, the first 10 minutes of the second half was always going to be them more on the front foot and thus we would have had some more space to counter into, unfortunately due to individual errors we conceded and then they had the momentum for a while. We then took back control of the game and made more than enough chances to win, which weren't taken. I do think Gestede should have made way. And statements like the one bolded make it hard to take anything you've written seriously, we probably made more chances in the game than under the entire Lambert reign last season.
  12. They are both goal scorers. There is absolutely no way of telling how a player will adapt to a league or a team, it's also too early to be writing players off.
  13. Thinking exactly the same myself, didn't want him at the start but I'm coming round more and more. Think he would have scored one or two today with the amount of chances we were creating.
  14. I think he has games in patches were he looks good, hence why a few rate him, but then you get performances like today. It's too much of a lottery with him and we can't afford the gamble of which Clark will turn up.
  15. He was excellent and then, like clockwork, he makes a mistake which leads to a goal. Maddening.
  16. More than enough chances to win. Conceded due to individual errors, set-up was fine. Some seem to think anything that doesn't go our way is automatically Tims fault.
  17. As if some think it's like a game of FIFA and he's controlling them all
  18. It's been individual aspects that have cost us, setup was fine. Had more than enough chances to win.
  19. There are absolutely mugging us here, a freekick and a mistake. Let's get the win the performance has deserved!
  20. Why? We were completely dominating, they hadn't even had a shot apart from a freekick why would we need to bring on a more offensive player? We also have no idea what his fitness levels are.
  21. Would still be winning if he's playing instead of Clark.
  22. Amazing fouled there ref is a word removed Edit: Amavi, fitting autocorrect though.
