  1. I care, and I suspect you do too, it's probably just that, like me, you've started to realise that this is it. In each of the previous years we've been struggling I have been concerned but never really thought we would go down. Now I look around and wonder where the three worse teams are. Fact is I can't see 1 let alone 3.
  2. AndyBM - sorry but It's a real bug bear of mine. It's "would have" not would of" hence why it is would've, could've and should've and not would'f, could'f and should'f I appreciate that sometimes when people say it, it can be misheard and sound like "of" but there's no excuse when writing. Please behave yourself and be perfect in everything you say and do :-)
  3. As an ardent supporter of keeping the status quo as I'm sick of starting again every 12 months........He just has to go and now!
  4. How we do is likely to be impacted significantly by Tuesday's game. If we can get a win there against another team struggling with us then the confidence may well start to return and we could see an uplift in performance. If we lose then that could be it. we might not recover. If we draw then we may well just continue to limp along for the rest of the season and who knows whether that would be good enough or not. it's a huge huge game for us at this stage of the season and frankly, whatever anyone's views on Lambert or Lerner, it's time for the players to step up and show some bottle. Hull will be up for it as will their fans. For me it has to be Benteke up front with Weimann playing off him. Guzan Hutton, Okore, Clark(Vlaar) Cissokho Sanchez Delph Gil Wiemann Sinclair Teckers
  5. Not so fortunate as one of them is us.
  6. Football is philanthropy. Few clubs turn a healthy profit. Philanthropy is one thing when it actually is worthwhile doing. When you're hampered by FFP it becomes pointless as you can't spend anyway.
  7. Even with a benefactor we can still only spend what we earn so our hands are still tied. FFP has ruined competition by not allowing owners to spunk their money up the wall of they want to. As long as clubs are not hampered by the debt what does it matter. That's what should have happened and that is what needs to be challenged in the courts. Until that day all but the biggest earning clubs in the league are all in the same boat. Just trying to survive.
  8. Financially it is not a huge loss in income tho. If our tv money was heavily dependent on where we finish in the league (as opposed to the current small step up for each place) then he'd probably have been sacked by now. As we negotiate as a collective and share it out he is still here. I still want to see him turn it round though but God the stuff being dished out is turgid.
  9. Yillan I would have quoted your post but...... **** its long! There's simply no way that would have happened for a loan fee. We pay what the loan is worth. Manu get his wages off the books knowing he'll be gone anyway. Better something small now than nothing now and nothing later. Hence the loan. Cleverly isn't doing himself any favours by playing as he is though. Who would want him on his performances for us.
  10. Not true. I don't go to games and I still wear ladies panties. [emoji160] Actually that's not disproving your point though. Shit, now I've blown it. What will the Mrs say!
  11. at Lerner's asking price anyway. It does kind of have a tendency to say, if they can't /won't afford Lerners asking price, its unlikely they can fund a rebuilding programme. No it says no one thinks his price is realistic. Rich people don't give their money away unless it's philanthropy. AVFC doesn't fall into that category. It's a business deal not save Randy Lerner's ass deal.
  12. His job should be to protect and break up opposition play. That said it can't help of his fellow players have sod all movement. We've been lacking movement throughout the team for ages now. Why the coaches can't see it is beyond me.
  13. Thee may be a few reasons why we can't do £9m for Ba. First we may not see it as VFM and second whilst may have the cash the fact of our earlier accumulated losses prevents us from spending it under FFP.
  14. Never mind all that, the article said Kozak was back in training. Yeah!
  15. I love the way Paul Allen's statement says "unfounded". Why didn't he use "untrue" is there more to this than meets the eye......? . . . . . Of course there bloody isn't
  16. Page 200-201 Section V7.5 and V7.6 Can we loan both together - No We would have to make the Cleverley loan permanent or cancel it in order to be able to loan Januzaj You can't have more than one Temporary Transfer player from the same transferor club at any one time (save for the emergency goalkeeper exclusion and save for the point above where a Temp transfer is made permanent). Anyway, now that is sorted, does anyone know if we can loan Januzaj and Cleverley at the same time?
  17. no, for some reason i think that you can only sign season long loans in the prem (obviously in jan its for the rest of the season) in the football league i think you can do 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and season long loans Long term loans are classed as loans between transfer windows. It could end in Jan but I thought it was a season long loan with an option to recall in Jan. There's no chance of that unless they are selling him elsewhere.
  18. Yeah it's that easy. Wot if ManU won't deal with us if we terminate the cleverly loan instead of buying him. There's more than one side to a loan deal. In fact there are 3!!
  19. Net spend in isolation means jacksh1t just like any other statistic. There are so many things it doesn't factor into account when considering whether or not you're in the correct position in the league. No one is saying we are playing well but we all know there are many reasons why we haven't done as well as perhaps we should have. The manager is one of many factors that influence how well a team plays. Finance, players, morale, confidence, fans. We seem to have had our fair bit of negativity in all those aspects and I suspect that had some of those other aspects been more favourable to us that the manager wouldn't be coming in for so much criticism as results would have been better. I'm not saying he's done great but I'm not hanging him out to dry either. I can see what he's trying to do but he's hampered and is trying to make it work with his hands tied behind him to a large extent. I've had enough of changing and starting all over again. Costing more money and getting nowhere doing it. Changing playing staff cause a new man wants different people. I'd rather give him the chance to keep building even if that is slowly. If we go down we go down. We'll still be playing next season and it's not like we'll be winning the league if we stay up. The money we lose will hurt Randy Learner more than it will hurt me. I will hurt more from my piss taking mates than anything else. The premier league is for the top 4. The rest are just also rans trying to stay up! It's becoming tedious.
  20. Man U were playing AT Camebridge on a cold windy night, we will play on our carpet of a HOME pitch. Don't try to make excuses for the pathetic idiot before we've lost, at least wait until we lose. So we have the man u result, injuries, money, the fans, the goal posts not being big enough, plan a signing not coming off so we had no plan b, he wanted to sign a no 10 for 3 seasons give him a chance, he's sorted the defence out at least, he had us scoring at one point at least, we've had lots of shots, we didn't conceed 8.....Bradford wanted it more, Sheff U wanted it more, Millwall wanted it more, he's working on a project, it's the assistant mangers fault x 2, do we have any other reasons that lambert is actually alex ferguson/pep guardiola etc but is being limited/not his fault? All I'm saying is that football isn't easy. No one has the right tu just turn up and expect to win because they are a bigger or better team. I'll reserve my judgment on the Villa until after the game tomorrow. All teams have problems not just us. We will be playing the best team in the championship not a league two side. And for what it's worth the pitch and weather were fine so if you don't want to make excuses for Villa please don't. Make them for any other team!
  21. Some perspective there for the game on Sunday. Having just watched Man U fail to beat Cambridge. Can't say they were lucky either cause Man U did F all. They made 2 chances the whole game. It's not always as easy as turning up to play.
  22. He's a tw@t who is jumping on the bandwagon because he sees an opportunity being an ex bluenose. Don't rate him as a pundit.
  23. He could have authorised the negotiations for new contracts sooner which makes it much more likely people will want to do a deal. As it stands both Delph and Vlaar only had to wait this season out before moving on a free. From their point of view that sir is a no brainer. Even if they re-signed with us it would have to be on free agent terms. The only reason it wouldn't be like that is if absolutely no one else was interested and I can't for one moment believe that would be the case with either. That is what he means. Had we looked to extend both contracts last year then I suspect they both would have signed. However if Delph is on a reported £60+k a week then I wonder if the decision to let him run down his contract was made a while ago. Our best midfielder or not, I wouldn't pay him any more than that, that's for sure.
  24. What if they both had Manchester in their title, both played in red and Dennis Law had played for both of them? It really is a miinefield, I wish there was someone who could tell us straight up whether we could loan two players from the same club or not. Whilst I'm sure that Januzaj woudl be the second player from a red shirt wearing Manchester entitled club that Dennis Law had played for, I still don't know if that is ok as far as prem league rules are concerned. If I've read that right we would be allowed to have 2 signings from the same club. Bottom of page 15 of the PDF. http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/rules-of-the-association/2013-14/standardised-rules.ashx. First few paras of page 16 - but is that document valid. 2013-2014
