    Made me cry for the first time since being a child myself. It really is incredible. Especially when you see the flutter of the heartbeat! My wife is 25 weeks now! Really really exciting!!

    If I were a cynic Id respond by saying Herbert had 'unsuccessful bids' for Maradonna, Shearer and Gazza! It just shows that we are looking abroad. I can't say the player's name...but he's traded "san fermin" for "antonio banderas" when he swapped clubs... 8)

    This is somewhat related bc Hutton is a fullback... I just found out today that we had an unsuccessful bid for a Spanish International LB back in May. This means that we are still somewhat ambitious with players that we are after. The player's name is not Joan btw.

    Malaga are going to be awesome by the way. I love the way they're building their club...not the ManCity way. Pellegrini is a class act and their new owner is doing a LOT for Malaga...Stadia, jobs, hotels, schools, etc.

    Just heard about a failed bid from the end of May. Kinda shocked that we didn't offer more. I have a friend who is on holiday in Pamplona now who heard that apparently Villa bid just over 5m euros for Nacho Monreal...Osasuna LB who is excellent...likely La Roja's LB for the next 5+ years. Anyways Osasuna rejected our bid and that was that. He ended up being sold to Malaga for 6m rising to 9m based on Malaga reaching the CL...etc. Damn....soooooo close.

    Kun Aguero will be an amazing signing for ManCity. He can eclipse Tevez's success. Was hoping Villa would have forked out the 39m to sign him though. Glad he's moving to a league where I can watch him play. Met him 2 summers ago in Majadahonda (where Atletico train)...really nice guy. Shame the way he left Atleti, the fans ain't pleased with how he went about it!

    So far have looked at houses within walking distance of Wylde Green or Chester Road. Boldmere seems pretty nice actually. Haven't looked in Four Oaks or Sutton yet (generally more expensive and further from work).

    How low is piss takingly low? What would be considered on the market for a long time?? Looking in Sutton Coldfield area...walking distance to train station preferably.

    Bump! Just starting to look at houses...first time buyer. Think we're at an advantage as we don't have to sell to buy and can close quickly as mortgage is already in place plus 25% deposit. The problem I'm finding is that whatever your budget is, you're always sacrificing something and always want a bit more house or a bit better location. Any tips for a first time buyer?? Thanks!

    Capels stock has plummeted drastically over the last few years though. Im not sure what going on with him at the minute. When were those 2 caps he got for Spain? Reason i ask, Michael Ricketts got a couple of England caps back in the day. Dont mean hes any good now though :winkold: One was 2008 vs Denmark, the other i'm not sure Perotti has taken his place in the Sevilla side...he's still 23 and has some upside.

    The problem is we have McLeish who can't scout further than Scotland. That is a dirty lie! He's about to sign Shay Given! Seriously though...Michel, Enric Valles (Spain) Beasejour (Chile)...etc. edit: Zigic....Martins...etc. I'm not saying he's signed good players, but they are from far away!

    Diego Capel will likely be sold to Sporting Lisboa for 6m EUROS!! He's been capped twice for Spain, plays on the left and dives a similar amount to Ashley Young. 23 y.o. He represents good value. Not convinced about Nzogbia to be honest. Headcase. Capel is half the price...maybe not quite as much upside but an international who is very fast and a great dribbler and crosser.

    Do you think we are in any position to stop players doing that anyway? Nope...but if we pay 10m or less we could double our money in a year. Anymore than that and it becomes riskier...

    Hoilett would cost 15m+ because he's 20, has 2 or 3 years left on his deal and is HIGHLY treasured by BRFC. His only drawback is that he's Canadian (blame Canada, etc.) Nzogbia is a good player...but we need to be very careful. If he has 1 great year he'll demand a move. The guy is also a bit of a nutcase, see Ireland. If we can get him for 10m or less, fine. If not, it starts to become a riskier move.
