  1. If Arse don't take care of business next week 5th place CL is toast. Liverpool clearly pissing away EL is gonna **** everything up, scouse ****
  2. Shambles at the back for sure but let's not act like this is a smash and grab. We've had multiple chances as well, it's just frustrating that theirs are coming from self inflicted wounds.
  3. Fair play to the intl CBS/Paramount broadcast btw, both commentators supported the decision and said 100% Saka played for contact when he didn't have to.
  4. There's no way Arse can afford to not rotate after that. Surely if we get a good result at Lille we throw everything at them?
  5. We just don't have the PASHUN, they're proper football supporters m8
  6. Konsa exposed on every, single, goal. He gets skinned by anyone willing to run at him. Not good enough
  7. Still cannot **** believe those lot did the double on us. I mean, I can, but still...
  8. This is a big point. Spurs got played off the pitch vs. a bottom half squad and we grafted a point against a top 8 side using a paper mache midfield, which should help build a lot of confidence about our chances for 4th after last weekends debacle. Credit to Emery for making changes proactively. IMO we should play Bailey and Zani on the flanks with Diaby in the hole until one of McGinn or Ramsey comes back, Duran and Rogers are just passengers atm
  9. I think the one thing that really benefits us from having ECL this season is that is helps the players become better at dealing with the rigors of competing in multiple fronts; knowing the importance of staying in 1st/2nd gear when another gear isn't needed, etc. The squad will have confidence that, should we qualify for Champions League, we won't see our domestic form suffer much as we've seen from teams in the past who overachieved in a season with no 3rd comp, qualified for Europe, but struggled to cope next season and sank back to mid/upper mid table (Newcastle this season is a good example of this)
  10. As much as I love Mings, the idea that he's gonna come back firing on all cylinders is naive. And as stated, of all our center halves he's the only one who can really replicate what Pau does for us moving the ball up the pitch. If the wages are reasonable it's a no brainer. That's a big If, though.

    Unai Emery

2 more Norwoods and he'll be close to my hairline, somebody get this poor man some rogaine
  12. Unai is as allergic to a plan B as a Southern Baptist preacher. It needs sorting out because our style of play has been snuffed out and only works against teams who haven't figured out we can't break down a low block to save our lives. And without Torres, we can't really stave off the press. Worrying stuff.

    Ezri Konsa

Just awful luck. I'm shocked more players don't get hurt banging their legs and knees on the post tbh
  14. Actually don't mind that Better than United away
  15. First time we've dropped points from a lead all season in the Prem and everyone's losing the **** plot Yes that was a dogshit performance but we *know* that Emerys system falters when too much of the dross on the fringes is in the 11. There's a discussion to be had about a lack of a plan B but for **** sake, take a look at Newcastle if you want to a see a team truly falling apart at the seams.
  16. Guys everyone calm down, Unai's just out here playing 4D chess to protect ETH from the sack. It's better for us in the long run, or something
  17. It's been obvious since before the end of the first half this was gonna happen. But to be fair to Emery... who on the bench calms this game? Donk in the 11 says it all. Our lack of quality in depth unfortunately is being exposed bigly.
  18. There's only one John Eustace ONE JON YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSTACE
  19. Ramsey is an utter shadow of what he was last season. Hasn't recovered at all
  20. Thank God that Unai and his on the pitch Renaissance are here to distract us from the utter shambles off the pitch
  21. Pretty lethargic performance so far but I firmly believe that's an intentional tactic from Unai to keep intensity levels as low as possible for fitness preservation.
