  1. That’s the thing, Ollie’s finishing last season wasn’t actually great. He is one hell of a player, but shooting/finishing is not his strength. Pukki is getting abuse here, but actually his stats from that season in terms of shooting were only marginally worse than Ollies from last season. AEG gets dogs abuse on here for having ‘woeful’ shooting, so I’ve added him here for comparison. (Obv Ollie is a much better player before I get accused of all sorts of crap) Np:g-xG the number of goals scored take away the number of goals that the shots that you took you would be expected to score from @sir_gary_cahill fbref.com will give you all the stats you need for free.
  2. He was referring to hiring a hitman for them cockney gits.

I’m pretty sure fire is used somewhere along the process to make smoking machines.
  4. Hahaha yes for years that’s where I’d get my chips from
  5. Was just about to say the same thing. He went to Lazio, where they wanted rid almost as soon as he got there. Other than that he played for Newcastle when the were shit Spurs when they were shit Rangers where he was good (but who wouldn’t be?) Everton when he was shit And a couple of other teams where he could barely get a game. I’m not saying this out of spite, but quite frankly Gascoigne is overrated.

…and Arsenals monumental debt growing. Which is good for us. Win-Win.
  7. You know, you’re probably right. But there were definitely a few moments where it would have been easier for the player to pass to Jack than to stop, turn, and try a cross field ball. Just give him the **** ball, he’s the playmaker. Your job is to give him the **** ball.

The bid is real. We would only bid if there was a realistic chance of getting the player according to his agent Players contract negotiations have been going on for months, which means there is a difference of opinion on the player’s value to the club. One of two scenarios will prevail here: 1) Arsenal will match the players demands and get him to sign a new contract 2) Arsenal will accept our bid and allow the player to talk to us. Now bear in mind, it would probably take what Arsenal are offering, and a pretty little sum on top of that to get him to leave them for us. The odd thing here is that when we wanted JG to stay, he just signed a contract - prob because we gave him what he wanted, and he isn’t so greedy that he held us over a barrel. If Arsenal value him as a £50m player, then why are they not offering him a contract to reflect that?

FFP is an utter disgrace, designer to keep the rich rich. Even when these clubs fall foul of the rules they just hire lawyers and get the fines/penalties overturned. What *would* be financial FAIR play would be every club in the league has the same transfer budget and wage budget, but there’s lots of reasons why that would never happen. If they want to protect clubs from reckless owners, then they should put rules in place that prevent clubs from being burdened with debt - the debt is the owner’s responsibility, not the clubs. That’d stop unchecked overspending, but allow calculated investment. /rant
  10. That prick Coufal. When asked about jack he said "He's fantastic. He needs to leave for a good club" Says the guy playing for a proper shitty club.
  11. I'm glad they're ignoring him. Because he gets to feel like what it would be like playing with these clubs where he isn't the main man - so won't want to move to a club with a bunch of jealous nobheads. Stirling didn't look like he wanted that hug from Jack after he crossed the ball for him. Kinda just patted him on the back while looking around for his buddies. (No. I'm not paranoid )

  13. So you’re saying very likely?
  14. Cash the rash. Cuz he’s all over you like one
  15. I’m calling that out as bollocks, as it also states that Southgate is a ‘coach’
  16. We've obviously moved on to bigger and better. He was our target when we were looking at avoiding relegation. Now he's been signed by a team who are looking to avoid relegation.
  17. I can picture the interview after the Czech game. ’So Gareth. Congratulations on your 0-0 draw and progressing into the last 16. Do you feel your team selection has been vindicated?’ ‘With Mount out, I wanted to start someone who could carry the ball forward and provide creativity from that central midfield position. Harry Maguire was perfect for that position.’ ’Did you consider Grealish for that position?’ ’Grealish isn’t a central midfielder. And he’s been injured. But he’s learned a lot from being with us, and seeing how we like to do things here. He knows what’s expected from him now, which is invaluable for him going forwards.’
  18. Southgate’s ‘tactics’ are to keep a tight ship, and hope that his choice of 3 out of the big pool of supremely talented attacking players manage to get a goal. This really is like a granny in a Sports car situation. She’ll get you from A to B just fine, not likely to crash it either. But by god you just want the bitch to floor it.

Meanwhile, back on topic.. maybe if we buy him, and loan him back to them so that he can continue his development for a couple of seasons? Thoughts?

It’s just banter, and everyone knows it. The pure fact that we can even goad their fans is testament to how far we’ve come. To goad them once we have overtaken them is when it really would be classless and arrogant. To do it now is just a bit of fun.
