  1. Baileys first game he was electric - a real player. Cant help but think the injury/fitness was the bigger problem than lack of ability.
  2. It’s moo-sa its the Arabic form for Moses.
  3. Not at all. ‘The right offer’ is very much dependent person to person. Messi wouldn’t go to Saudi for £300m a year, but I suspect Olsen would for £10m a year. It’s not semantics, his point is quite clearly that even at ludicrous amounts on offer, most people would turn down an offer to play there, which I disagree with. With a big enough offer, I would say that almost EVERYONE would be willing to go. How big that offer is will obv vary from player to player. Even YOU would go, and I know you’re not a fan of the Saudis in the slightest.
  4. the debate is about ‘the right offer’, not what is realistic. He literally suggested that if someone WAS to offer you £1m to live in downtown Mogadishu, that he would be stunned if you took the offer. But you’ve literally just said that you WOULD in fact do it for ‘the right offer’. Proving my point.
  5. It really wouldn’t be stunning though would it? By definition ‘the right offer’ means it would happen. The only thing up for debate would be what ‘the right offer’ would be. If every footballer here was offered £1bn to play in the Saudi league for 1 year. I’d be stunned if less than 95% of them moved.
  6. Can’t say I agree with you. The more names that go over there, the more justifiable it becomes to others. Right now they’re concentrating on recognisable top tier names. Soon they will shift their focus to the next tier to make it a competitive watchable spectacle. Then they’ve got a marketable product. if they wanted, they can even afford to broadcast it around the world free of charge - making it the go-to product for football because it doesn’t cost the viewer anything. Once it is the go to product, then everything else just falls into place. Think IPL of cricket.
  7. Yes, there is that. Rather than independent businesses.
  8. Even if we can get it down to £4.50 it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t want to come here. He wants a champions league team (but none want him) and now he wants Barcelona (who don’t want him).
  9. This is a common, but completely flawed argument. How much is enough? Surely ones kids should be happy with getting a BMW instead of a Porsche? or a Skoda instead of a bmw? Or a pushbike instead of a Skoda? what is enough? You should strive to do the best that you possibly can. In 6 years, he can set up the next 10 generations of Neves’ - probably more.
  10. He won the Ballon D’or. For the first time. That would make him in HIS prime. I.E at the top of his game. Ruben Neves is 26. regardless, I’m not sure of what the point you’re trying to make is. MY point is that money rules over all else. Even at 35, Benzema would have had many suitors all over the world. He chose a pay packet over heritage. There is not a footballer in this earth that can not be bought. I’m telling you now, if MBappe is offered £10bn, he’ll be playing in Saudi next year. it’s a sad state of affairs, but money spanks the shit out of heritage. And what do u mean by getting carried away?
  11. how about the current ballon d’or winner Karim benzema?
  12. In your eyes a morally decrepit, and likewise, you’re entitled to your opinion. In my eyes the USA is the most corrupt nation on the planet - where Messi just went for a windfall. Opinions. Opinions. Opinions. Yh, I’ll take my £500m and you can keep your misconceived moral high ground. Power to you.
  13. What trophies have we won? He’s just won the treble. But Yh, if he had stayed he’d be in the midst of something special happening now. If only. Regardless, we got £100m for someone who didn’t want to be here - which is a good deal Paying a fortune for someone who doesn’t want to be here is a kick in the teeth. If he ends up here, there’s a bad taste in fans mouth, which could’ve just been avoided by not saying ANYTHING. Just shut your trap, and wait to see what happens. Edit: ‘shut your trap’ is referencing Félix, not @Captain_Townsend
  14. The difference is that our idiot left to win trophies. This idiot has made it public knowledge that if he comes here, it’s literally because no other club on the planet want him.
  15. Doesn’t even need to be said. it’s obvious, and anyone he begrudges any of these players is living in a fantasy world. Anyone who pretends they wouldn’t do it, is an either lying, or has nothing to offer to anyone that would ever put them in a similar situation. If I get an offer to boost my wages 10 fold by going to Saudi. I’d bloody do it.
  16. That’s not what you said tho is it? You said ‘how’s he been disrespectful?’ not ‘why.’ Besides, my point is he doesn’t need to say anything. ’…will not consider any offers from clubs that are not in the champions league.’ After acknowledging interest from clubs in England. Now sucking Barcelona’s balls about how he wants to play there. If there are any clubs interested in him, they should all step away and let Barcelona have first (and only) dibs. He doesn’t NEED to say anything publicly. Shut your trap and conduct business behind closed doors. You’re gonna make yourself look like a tit.
  17. He is being disrespectful to the club that pays his wages by giving virtual blowjobs to Barcelona. Or can it only be disrespectful if Aston Villa are involved?
  18. Problem is he’d cost a significant fee. Let’s say he cost us £70-80m Theres probably a 10% chance he improves his value and a 90% chance his value drops. He’d need to be having 20 goal contributions a season to justify a price increase. Can’t see that.
  19. Can I block all Félix news? Im sick of this disrespectful word removed.
