  1. Still gutted and wounded 24 hours after watching that display, used in the looses sense of the word. I worked hard for the cash I used to pay for that game; the same can't be said of 90% of my team. Not sure I can bear to watch the Chelsea game.
  2. MON all the way for me. The timing of his exit left us with no time to find a suitable replacement and when GH was appointed, no transfer window to sign some of his players. Just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the right decision is made to keep us up!
  3. Played well yesterday. Keep it up fella.
  4. They've had 15 inches of snow in Liverpool and over 10 in Wigan. Bloomin gutted, what to do now on a Saturday afternoon
  5. General, I'd just like to echo a lot of the positive sentiments recently posted and that at this time the negative posters seem to take over this board. I am not happy about the current situation, but then again who is. However, I believe that GH is someone that can take the club forward and get us to the next level. As we all know there have been a number of injuries that have disrupted many of the games and surely by the law of averages if nothing else we will see a number of these players return and see an upturn in our fortunes. With the timing of O’Neill’s departure the club were put in a very tricky predicament and have responded in the manner we have become accustomed to which gives me great pride in the club and the people running this institution. I would like to thank you for the time you take coming on this site and the comments that you post. Some I agree with and some I don’t, but we are very lucky to have an insight into the running of the club that very few other clubs provide. I still have faith and look forward to a bright future with the next generation of young players we have after we get through this tricky period. All the best. Once a Villan always a Villan.
  6. I would have reservations about this if it is true, but there is an argument that Hogg would be more natural in that position. In the Blackpool game Clark was very negative with his play and the first option was always to play the ball back to the centre halves during the first half. If we did this against Manure it would invite pressure on. Hogg, when I’ve seen him, offers more variety of passing which Houllier may think is necessary.
  7. Blackpool have made 10 changes to the team that drew with Everton last weekend! What does that say?!!! I'll take anything offerd at the moment.
  8. Let’s hope he gets time to develop into a good player without all the overhype, positive and negative, that seems to be associated with one performance. It was a good start against a team that plays football. Blackpool and Manure play the same way so he should/could do well in these matches. How he copes against the likes of Blackburn, Bolton and Stoke will show whether he has the ability to make it in the premier league. Here's hoping.
  9. Gutted, played well enough to have taken all three points, couple of gilt edged chances missed which have come back to haunt us
  10. I think this has a lot to do with the team selection, should be a good game of football and not the old hoof ball we've had to ensure for the last three years
