Would not surprise me if Wigan turn City over. City players have their eye on the FA Cup and nothing else.

Stoke have a great run of fixtures coming up. They won't lose them all.
  3. Stoke have a great set of fixtures to finish and Sunderland will be fired up for every match. This is going to go to the wire.
  4. They will be fired up for every match for the rest of the season.

I think we would all take 17th. I remember saying at the start of the season I'd snap your hand off for 15th. Even that looks like it was optimistic.
  6. A lack of class from the Man U fans there.
  7. I'm not convinced we will finish above Sunderland anymore. DiCanio will have them fired up for every match. Under MON they were sleepwalking towards the drop.
  8. Great goal. Sunderland look like they are going to kick on with the new manager bounce.
  9. they beat Fulham last week Ha! Well spotted. They were crap in that game as well though.
  10. Newcastle have not won a match this season after playing Europa League on Thursday.

I am pretty certain we will still have a chance of being relegated on the last day against Wigan. We might still be able to get away with losing on the last day and stay up if other results go our way but I think the threat of relegation will be with us to the last day this year.
  12. why? Both are offensive Being offended by something doesn't give anyone the right to ban it in a free society. I might complain about someone being racist or offensive and try and talk them round and change their opinion but banning things is not the way forward. Well, it's already kind of banned, laws against inciting racial hatred. I agree with your point though, it's ridiculous how many overgrown children think they have the right to not be offended. I personally think the UK is far to restrictive on the right to freedom of speech.

  14. Guzan decided he would let his contract run down and look for a better offer. Obviously they weren't flooding in for him so he reconsidered Villa's offer provided he would be given a fair crack at being first choice. The rest is history. I'm not sure you can or can't credit Lambert for him resigning. It may well just be that no other premier league club was going to sign him as first choice (he would have visa issues of he were to move abroad).
  15. Yes, he does seem to be on his mobile to the AA.
  16. We could cancel his contract. Short term could rove exspensive, but long term? Long term it'd cost us the exact same as keeping him at the club, as he'd be entitled to every penny of his contract. Unless he agreed to take a reduced rate of course, but why would he? The only other option is to let him go on a free. The trouble is, if he decides he can't get a better contract elsewere he won't agree to leave on a free. I am hoping he will decide he still wants to have a future playing football so will agree to a move to a new club and a pay cut but who knows what the guy is thinking.
  17. The Classico final is still on. I think it will be Madrid Munich though.
  18. It is a cool story The Daily Mail has done a write up about it as well but Rodríguez comes off sounding like a homeless illegal migrant in their version
  19. I sad to myself Adebayor would hit it into the stand. That just seemed so obvious to me. He probably signed a contract recently.
  20. This. So have Villa voted against because the rules do not go far enough or because Randy does not want FFP rules at all? We have shown that we cannot compete under the current (non) rules so I would have thought that this was a step in the right direction. Maybe small and flawed step, but still better than status quo. It restricts how your owner can spend his own money and how much of the new TV money you can spend. If you happen to have billions coming in from other sponsors than that is just fine, you can continue winning the league every year. I am sure Man U must have sat down with the Premier League to devise these restrictions.
  21. Why is all government expenditure measured in nurses anyway? They seem to be an alternative currency.
  22. The Wizard of Oz track "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" had gone into the top ten of this weeks singles charts. The BBC is considering whether they will play it on their top 40 countdown on Sunday EDIT: Into the top 5 now
