  1. And here's another fact, Glaston. We could go out and lose 6-0 tonight at Stoke and still be above Spuds in the league.
  2. I've given the plain facts about the trophy count during the 9 decades that have elapsed since WWI. You wish to try and translate these facts into "crap" that I spout ... well good luck with this ongoing denial of reality. Did the league start in 1918? No? So why quote it? If you want to quote history, quote from the formation of the league or shut up. I could say Blackpool won 2-0 away at Newcastle on Saturday, while your scumbags scraped to a lucky draw against the Boggies. And if I wanted to make up my own ridiculous time frames, I could use that FACT to PROVE ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT BLACKPOOL ARE A BIGGER AND MORE SUCCESSFUL CLUB THAN SPUDS. By your logic. Villa have a richer history than Spuds. The facts are there, without the need for molestation. If you come one here again and make up your own ridiculous time frames that have **** all to do with success, I am going to ridicule you again. Occasionally I do post in the VT section But since in this thread there are plenty of posts from VTers that make ludicrous claims about Villa in comparison to Spurs, why should I not - in this thread - pass comment on such posts? Perhaps you're just unhappy that all of the BS spouted about Spurs gets challenged with actual facts. You're not posting facts though, you're molesting statistics. You are presenting trends from history - as history - instead of acknowledging history. Which is bullshit.
  3. Spurs will win the 2011 Champions League final, beating Barcelona 79-0. And then we will all look like mugs for doubting Glaston...
  4. Similarly I have the Sony Xperia X10 on Orange for £27.50/month with unlimited internet, 1200 mins calls, unlimited landline calls, unlimited texts and 50mms/month. The insurance through Orange is only £6/month to get a new phone within 24 hours if there is a problem. iPhones require iPhone insurance, at £12/month. Had it nearly three months now and I'm massively impressed with it.
  5. Isn't the answer obvious? You'd be crying into your soup. For one. It's obvious.
  6. Yep. Ancient history from the Victorian era, when the league was tiny, but when you look at the picture since as far back as WWI, this is what it shows: Villa have not won more trophies than Spurs in any decade since World War I - whilst Spurs have won more trophies than Villa in 4 out of the last 5 decades, including the decade just finished. During this 9 decade period the trophy count stands at 16 to 9 in Spurs favour: very nearly double. Yes, Villa won the European Cup during this period, but then again Spurs won three European trophies - and in fact were the first British club ever ever win a European trophy. And yes, Villa won a league title during this period, but then again so have Spurs - twice. There comes a point when Villa fans have to stop looking backwards at the remote past when teams like Spurs, Chelsea and many, many, many others weren't even in the league structure. Exclusive: Glaston is a Villa fan. He must be. He spends loads of time on this site talking about Villa in a 'Spuds Hate' thread. Here's the line Glaston: You're not a PR for Spuds and nobody is going to change their opinions about your club because of the crap you spout on here. You come onto a Villa message board and spout the same diatribe like a bitter bluenose. It's just so incredibly banal. You deserve all the shit people throw at you in this thread. SimplySpurfect and Joey55 don't come on this site or into this thread with the same attitude you do. If you want to talk about Villa, go and do it in the VillaTalk section of the board. See how you get treated when you are posting into the correct threads. But if you are just going to come on here and bullshit about a club most of the board members dislike, especially when it's about a manager we think is a massive kunt, don't complain when you get the piss taken out of you. And also remember this: You had VillaTalk members banned from your Spuds Knitting Circle just for being Villa fans. Remember your place, or GTFO.
  7. As I've already said, your (now ex) manager has already turned his back on you: those who live in glass houses would be wise not to throw stones. **** Martin O'Neill, I don't give a **** what that cockmaster does now. What is your point? We're not talking about Martin O'Neill here. And for the record, I will throw as many **** stones as I **** like.
  8. Do you seriously suppose that a thread titled "... Spuds/Redknobb Hatefest" - a thread now running to nearly 250 pages - contains many "pretty genuine and reasonable" questions? Aside from the fact that the longevity of this thread borders on obsessive (and constantly remains on page 1 even if come back to visit the VT site after many weeks absence) - 95% of the Villa-fans posts in this thread are increasingly desperate attempts to knock Spurs and everything to do with Spurs, mixed in with heaps of childish abuse. There is very little attempt at reasonable discussion. However, to answer the "reasonable" question you refer to, what Redknapp actually said, when asked if he would turn down England job, is this: "No, but I don’t want to start saying I want the England job, because I don’t. I’m not saying that. It’s not something I push myself for. People will always take it because, if you’re English, it’s the pinnacle of your career if you’re in management. You’ve got to take the job if you get offered it." So, he's not pushing to get the England job, but will accept it if offered because he doesn't feel that the high honour of managing England is a job that any English manager should refuse if offered. That's somewhat different from how the post in question phrased it, namely: "... he wants to quit the job in 2 years time", as if he's desperate to escape from the terrible prospect of managing Spurs in the Champion's League and the possbility of pushing on further in the league. He is pushing for the England job. He has been since the World Cup exit. You know it. We all know it. Just admit it and stop making a cock of yourself.
  9. Better than Villa fans feel about a manager who ditched them without prior notice just days before the season began. And doubtless better than Villa fans feel about a replacement manager who has said that Villa's natural station is somewhere between 7th and 12th place, who has also compared Villa unfavourably with his former club (Liverpool), and who, although apparently appointed as manager, won't actually become manager until some unspecified future date. It may be a step down for you, Monsieur Houllier, but I'm sure Villa fans will take you into their warm embrace anyhow ..... whenever you arrive that is. Your manager is a despicable piece of shit who will turn his back on you given half a chance. Prostitutes deserve more respect than that cockmaster.
  10. Then maybe you need to get out more. Here's just one example: You tell me to 'get out more' then get all anal on me by digging out a quote from8 years ago? Jebus, are you for real? You might not like this, but I think Fergie is a massive kunt as well. You've only lost minimal credibility with this ridiculous statement though. Unfortunately it was the last scrap.
  11. I refer you to a post I made earlier - a day or so ago. Reading is your friend. You're supposed to refer the poster to the post you made earlier when you say that. Null point.
  12. I guess he's the one and only football manager to swear - how shocking. Stop ducking the point, Glaston. I do not know of another instance of a Premier League manager, especially one who wants to be England manager, deliberately swearing at the camera. You can't deny what he did on Sky the other week was wrong, surely? He said **** three times on live telly, twice shouting it. What a hypocrite you are. Would these be the same football fans who chant vile abuse - all with the same kids in tow? He stuck his fingers up at the Holte End when he was Pompey manager. Would Spuds fans not be a little ticked off if an opposing team's manager did it to them? He is a master of double standards. For a person who is supposed to be a role model, not just to his players but to everyone watching, he is a **** disgrace. He brought on everything he got from the Holte End and he will get more next time he comes. More hypocrisy. MON gutlessly walked out on Villa just a few days before your season began. He has left every club he has managed in financial crisis. I have explained this before, as have many others. Instead of making a fool of yourself on here, try asking fans of clubs previously managed by ol'twitchy what they think of him. Redknapp would walk out on Spuds in a flash if another job came up that he was interested in. He has been pimping himself to the FA all summer for the England job. If Redknapp was England manager, I would not watch/support the national team until he was removed from the post. You obviously don't know what tapping up means. Talking about players is not tapping up and is not illegal nor against FA rules. Tapping up means initiating contact with players or their agents without the permission of said player's club and is a breach of FA rules. A manager is not allowed to speculate publicly about a player contracted to another club. The rule was posted up on this site two summers ago when Liverpool did it to us with Barry. Redknapp constantly speculates about other team's players in the press. He will clearly speak to anyone who will listen. Just LAST WEEK he was publicly speculating about Ashley Young without making contact with the club to enquire about his availability. The bloke is a despicable double standards prick. Are there any other managers in the league that have had multiple allegations of corruption levelled at them for years and years? Are there any other managers in the league that are currently facing charges of tax evasion? Redknapp has shown nothing but a massive disrespect for Aston Villa and it's fans for years, often bullshitting about our behaviour and applying appalling double standards. I believe all the vitriol aimed at him on this site is totally justified. The issue here is Redknapp, Glaston. Please remember that next time you breach the site rules by calling our members muppets. Especially after you had VTers banned form your Spuds noshing circle.
  13. This post is yet another confirmation of everything I've said about shallow thinking and predjudiced stereotyping. Calling my post "shallow thinking and predjudiced stereotyping" is against the rules of this forum. Don't call me shallow Glaston. The only reason you can even entertain the notion of shallow is because you are out of your depth in this argument. The twitch is nothing to do with it. I've explained how I feel about Redknapp in this thread before (a lot of VTers agreed with me) and I'll be **** if I'm digging that post out again now. Just our of interest, are you employed by Harry Redknapp / Totteringham Hoofspuds as PR? I also firmly believe Redknapp would be off in a shot if he thought he had a chance at the England job. I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of that melted wheeler dealer mouth. The bloke is a grade A word removed.
  14. This. Prior to the Chelsea debacle last season, this CB pairing had the best record in the league.
  15. Redknapp. We may have him wrong. DO a Google Image Search for "wheeler dealer" "football transfer bung" and see how many results you get with Redknapp right on the first page. See, Glaston, it's not just us who thinks him's a bit dodgy. I wouldn't trust Redknapp with the steam off my piss.
  16. So, all agreed there is one matter and it's all about a player and his agent. Definitely nothing whatsoever about 2 payments totalling £183k paid into Twitchy's bank by his chairman. Oh did I mention it was an off-shore account and the payments had the appearance of a wage? Maybe this would be a £40k loss to the public purse. Well, let's not talk about the earlier stuff. I will just clear my name. I'm not dodgy. Nah, not dodgy at all. BBC bungs, swearing on Sky Sports and then getting arsey over football fans swearing - wiv their kids there aswell you know. Sticking his v's up at us and crying to the press. Leaving all the clubs he has been at up a creek without a paddle, tapping up to the point of making Fergie look like a saint. He happens to have a Twitchy, Melted Candle Wax face. If he was fat and Spanish with a stupid beard I'm sure we could use other descriptive terms. To be Twitchy or to look like a waiter or have a Big Fat Head like Sheep Head Bruce does not make you dodgy. Being a lying, truthbending, double standard loving rocket polisher on the other hand does. One for Post Of The Year there - gets my vote.
  17. I'm riding an Orange G2 at the moment with Continental TravelContact tyres on it for road use. It's not too bad, but as most of my cycling is road cycling I need a different bike. Does anyone know anything about Boardman bikes? They seem to get quite good reviews and come in a lot cheaper than the Cannondale BadBoy I want...
  18. We've got a running thread, and as I can't find a cycling thread I thought I'd start one. Are there many on here that are active participants? I've been getting quite keen on my cycling over the last few months and I'm considering picking up a new bike soon. I've done the Devon and Cornwall coast-to-coast routes in the last three weeks and I'm considering cycling Barnstaple to Glastonbury when it stops raining for long enough. Any recommendations for bikes (hybrids) or anyone got any good routes or stories to share?
  19. Same five for me, in the same order. Citeh, because they have proven that they are a classless bunch of kunts with no respect for anything. Liverpool because of their arrogance in the Barry situation two years ago and the general cocktardedness of the fans. Spuds because of Redknapp. And Glaston's PR campaign on here only makes me dislike them more. Manure because of the glory hunter fans and their initiation of financial muscle by marketing their team heavily in a different **** continent in the 90s to generate money. They created the financial monster that has destroyed the competition. SHA - because...
  20. Cycling Cornwall coast to coast both ways on Friday and cycling the Camel Trail (Padstow to Wemfordbridge with a detour round Bodmin) both ways on Saturday. A couple of days gentle exercise - check. Some good photography of the old engine houses around Scorrier - very good.
  21. He finally admits Woodgate is a crock. This, my friends, is a monumental occasion for VillaTalk.
  22. I'm not buying this story for one minute. It just sounds like such a fantastic load of bollocks. MON would not have stated there was an injury and that there was no progress with Milner's situation if there was anything else to it.
