    Lambert was poor last night. Throwing on strikers lost us our shape and discipline and Bradford found it easy to create space coming forward. We should have stuck to same plan as the first half. CNZ was playing well, then he turned into his usual heavy touch and running into players in the second half. With all those forwards on the pitch, not one of them was near the 6 yard box when Bennett put the ball over.

    Holman is Ok, a useful squad player. Not as good as some of the rave reviews I've seen some give him.

    KEA seems to have more energy and presence. Makoun seemed very lightweight.

    I think Walcott will end up going to Chelsea and Sturridge to Arsenal as part of the deal. Mata Hazard and Walcott behind Torres. Sounds good to me. If I was a Chelsea fan that is.... Would imagine Essien is on around 90k a week at Chelsea?

    Surely if we know he's injured (like Downing was when he signed) our medics will look at his injury as part of the medcial, asses how long his recovery is and the chances of the same injury recurring. If they believe the injury will not hamper future development and performance then I'd have no problems signing him.

McLeish signed Holman Lambert joined Villa on 2nd June. Holman joined Villa on 1st July. Lambert signed Holman. If he didn't want him he had a month to say so. Holman started work here after Lambert. The deal was already done by then, wasn't it?
