On Midlands Today this evening there was a piece about a woman who's grandfather was shot as a deserter during WW1 and she has persuaded Dudley council to add his name to the war memorial in Dudley. He now has his own plaque on this memorial meaning his name stands out from all the other names. Personally, I don't want to seem like a heartless basket, but I question whether he deserves to be on the memorial at all, let alone standing out from folks who gave their lives during the great war.
Thoughts?
I voted for Spurs. I keep hearing their fans talking about playing 'the spurs way', but I'm 25 and ever since I can remember, they've done diddley squat. Therefore, to me, 'the spurs way' is playing shit.
Look at the clubs and budgets Mourinho, Wenger, Capello and Lippi have achieved this success with though. Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid. Mark Hughes has managed Blackburn and Wales and O'Neill has managed Leicester, Celtic and us. You can only do as well as the resources you are given and they have achieved what you could call success relative to that. Until O'Neill and Hughes are given the chance to equal the afore mentioned managers on a level playing field (resource & club wise) then I don't think it's fair to compare their achievements.
The special one. He may be rude, rash, abrupt, offensive, arrogant, ignorant, as well as not playing a style of football that is to everyone taste, but by god the man knows how to win games and trophies.
Devious, conniving chairman.
weasily, nasty manager.
Violent thuggish hooligans for fans.
I don't want them back up. Leeds that is. Go on, admit it, you thought I was talking about Small Heath then didn't you?
Exactly. Phone tapping and internet connection tapping is an invasion of privacy. Having to carry around a card with personal details and dna on it and stuff isn't too much hassle.
