  1. Moths! I emptied it last night as it was full of crap...only drunken me forgot to put the useful stuff back in. Doh!
  2. Shoving petrol in the car only to find out at the till that your wallet is empty of cash or cards! Ggggrrrr! I really should have checked. Luckily, the guy was understanding enough (he said I've got half an hour to come back or he'll call the police :| )
  3. Not really got a top 10 (yet) but I've had a quick think (yes, a really quick think) for the more outlandish. I'll come up with lots more (when I'm next drunk). (not strictly a film but hey ho) (couldn't forget Bob - I hope he has a good retirement and wish him all the best with his illness)
  4. Although I don't spend much time there nowadays as I'm based elsewhere, I moved to Portsmouth with work 4 years ago (I love the place!). I'm really quite saddened by the whole affair. I have no affection for the team in itself but the loss to the city is enormous. It is a proud footballing city and everywhere you look you see the flags of PFC (and it is / was a proud city of its team). I'm so sorry for the fans that in the end their team was managed by a bunch of cockbadgers.
  5. I shed a tear (well not literally) a few nights ago when I realised that I couldn't lie in bed with the soothing sounds of the womens volleyball acting as a cradle swaying me side to side
  6. I implore you to buy said book and then burn it in protest.
  7. Congrats, matey! I'm getting mildly drunk this evening (not too drunk as I've got a 150 mile round trip tomorrow). I've decided to cook a lovely steak dinner (complete with fried onions, home made mash and a few little battered onion rings). Tomorrow, as I've said, I've got to drive to bloody Southampton from London to get the car serviced. Why travel so far you ask? Well thank you for asking but I bought the car from the Toyota dealership there and it comes with their 3 year free servicing plan. Humbug.

I've had 2 bonsai trees. Both died very soon It's fair to say that my heart wasn't into it.
  9. That is brilliant. *stolen for facebook* So far I've zoomed in on the BBC Sport "studio" and on Bolt as he crossed the line.
  10. I was in Much Wenlock last week. Great little place and not far away from Brum too!

Walking is ace. I only tend to do it when away (but then I plan my hols in the UK around walking). Get yourself a big fluffy white dog and you'll be amazed by how many women want to come and say hello

I was in Hay-on-Wye on Friday and the "Mr Puzzle's Jigsaw World" shop almost got me buying some. They had every jigsaw known to man and some were quite frankly awesome. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd get labelled a sad git, I would have walked out with loads!
  13. Congrats to Sweden in the sailing - devastating for GB having led throughout.
  14. I'm all set to try and create one of these tonight: Who knows what it is but my version will be double burger (hell, I might go for a triple yet), melted cheese (fried with the burgers), onions, bacon, fried egg, lettuce and tomato, onion rings and bbq sauce. It will be good! (The diet will start on Monday )
  15. Bah, it's good fungus! It's good for the immune system (so I keep telling people at work who notice that my mug is particularly grubby with tea stains dating back from at least 6 months ago). I quite like milk that is just slightly on the off too - not too off you understand but milk that is on the turn has a nice little flavour to it.
  16. I've been craving a huge burger with cheese all week and even on my birthday I still didn't get one (the curry house in Brecon was particularly awesome though).
  17. Have to say too (don't think anyone has picked up on it yet), what a brilliant gesture to not have a "big name" lighting the Olympic flame but instead pass it over to a bunch of young athletes. Aside from Paul bloody McCartney *shudder*, top notch.
  18. On behalf of Villa fans, Midlanders, Englishman and well, all of the UK: This is for you, Mitt. Penarse.
  19. I thought it was ace (high five us all!) but Paul (can't sing or hit his note or hit his cue) McCartney? Jeez. If he had to sing, they should have done the Jubilee routine, i.e. him singing Live or Let Die but drowning him out with fireworks. That would have worked much better. Oh well, it could be worse. Poor old Grandmaster Flash (legend!) was creating his own party on the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony.
  20. Had to google that javelinthrower. Ásdís Hjálmsdóttir. Looked tasty but those arms looked like pythons when in competition each to their own... I would.
  21. You've missed lots! It's been really good. I don't doubt that it has been brilliantly choreographed and the light show and soundtrack is probably brilliant but this sort of thing doesn't do a lot for me and stinchy was just to much for me to take. Who's lighting the flame? Do we know yet or is it a surprise? I haven't took much notice to be honest If I was to wage a fiver, I'd say it was Queenie (being Jubilee year and all).
  22. You've missed lots! It's been really good.
