  1. If my memory serves me correctly, any player that has played won't be traded so the trade will probably be delayed. I won't guarantee it but I think you can rest easy.
  2. The reason why I'm pro points per carry (albeit small amounts) is the example I gave. A RB with 15 carries had the same amount of points as a WR with three catches. Yards aside, it's not the same effort and the RB should be recognised imho. Happy to put it to a vote, at the appropriate time, as we should.
  3. Interesting thoughts. Whilst the RB position isn't what it used to be in terms of an offensive game plan, there are still some very good RBs in the league. In terms of fantasy, RBs aren't being scored as favourably as WRs. As an example, this week I scored 11.60 points for Najee Harris (15 carries, 56 yards, 1 TD; 3 Rec, 5 yards; 1 fumble knocked a couple of points off) and 12.90 points for Drake London (3 Rec, 54 yards, 1 TD). NH is clearly doing a lot more work for the same amount of points and that doesn't feel right to me. Looking at the scoring, RBs and WRs are the same in terms of distance related points however, WRs get 0.5 points per reception whereas there is no carry points for RBs. @Beastmix To avoid amending the distance scoring, perhaps for next season, 0.25 points per carry should be awarded to RBs? Using my example, NH would have received 17.35 points (+3.75 for carries, +2 adding the fumble back) and Drake London 12.90 which feels more reflective of the effort each player made. Example 100 yard game with TD: RB: 20 carries (5 points), 100 yards (10 points), bonus (1.5 points), TD (6 points) = 22.5 points (17.5 points currently) WR: 7 Receptions (3.5 points), 100 yards (10 points), bonus (1.5 points), TD (6 points) = 21 points *Option to increase the points per reception to 1 but if a RB is also catching a lot of passes, this might quickly create an imbalance.
  4. On the flipside, I shouldn't be 3-0, but thanks to a fortunate schedule and playing the waiver wire, I've managed to paper over the cracks.
  5. They should be 3-0. It's as feasible that they could be 0-3! The offence is purring nicely under JB, but man that defence provides no reassurances.
  6. What in the world are these trade proposals? Pull the other one @maqroll, Burrow for Julio Jones? Had a beer is it?
  7. Browns went full Browns this week... except they won! Cade York FTW!
  8. @Hornso Can't deny I'm feeling pretty smug right now
  9. First, check your emails for an invite. When/if you've accepted, it will be in the app under the home button (I'm using Android). It looks like a house.
  10. Looking forward to another season of being decidedly average!
  11. I wouldn't read too much into the ratings, the projections aren't based on our league scoring (so far as I know). Your strategy is probably sound if you feel good about it.
  12. Going to be an interesting season for sure. Feels like the value has spread out a bit, hopefully that's good for competition.
  13. Sunday works better for me, I'm best man at a wedding Friday/Saturday so zero chance to attend then. It looks like it will be Friday, so I'll set an autopick.
  14. With training camps on the horizon, I thought I'd give this a bump. Who's in and what date are we setting for the draft... Sunday 4th September?
  15. Do we just login to confirm our participation? That's what I've done, but all of the same teams from last season are already there too so just want to check there is no magic button to press?
  16. Exactly. I would consider moving Mings on and I think we are ambitious enough to seek improvements up front. Ollie wouldn't enter that conversation for me, far too versatile, so it would be Ings I would seek to upgrade. None of it essential and all a nice problem to have, but we are well covered elsewhere and these investments, at that time, would seem logical to me.
  17. We'll see. Maybe not now, but in the summer.
  18. Jack = £100m less Net (£17m) Decent haul Hopefully still some left over for a couple of key signings now and in the summer; DM / CB / ST / Coutinho fee
  19. I don't know the details other than the posts earlier in the thread, so do you say this because BM doesn't want to play, or because sadly he won't be well enough? Wondering if we can make a gesture in memoriam if the latter i.e. rename the trophy? Edit: not meaning to come across as insensitive by the way, it's just an idea how we might recognise someone that's been a part of the fabric for decades.
  20. It's not the #1 pick that bothers me as such, it's waiting to 24 and 25 before making the next selection. It's a hard strategy to get right cause most of the top WRs are gone by then and you're left with a top RB, a serviceable WR and possibly a good TE or premature dip into the QB market. It might just be me mind you, I average 7th for a reason
  21. Thanks for clarifying @Beastmix My personal view is that the #1 pick isn't a reward in fantasy football so the incentive would be low. Just my opinion.
