  1. Careful mate, you will get slammed by some for having your own honest opinion. As you might have seen from the last few pages. You can expect abuse if you call fans fools for renewing season tickets. When I said that I didn't mean it literally, obviously fans are always going to renew season tickets. but if fans aren't happy, and are still happy to renew as soon as they go on sale Lerner won't recognise the problem (I.e MCleish) if fans held off for as long as possible to buy their season tickets he might actually think that majority of fans will not be renewing and his hand will be forced to sack MCmuppet. It wasn't a direct insult to fans renewing, although reading it back I can see why it would have seemed that way. It just will seem to the club and randy that season tickets are still flying out the door and there isn't a Problem. I didn't intent to call anyone a fool, just think the club would recognise the fans are not happy if they held off for a bit. It just seems that fans are really unhappy at the moment but still ready to buy into it, I see it as this is the time (not renewing straight away) to show the club we are not happy.

  3. I bet you've spent the last week panic-buying petrol and filling up Jerry Cans in your garage... :winkold: LOL, nah mate, Had a full tank at the beginning of the week so no need. But now you mention it, I might top up tomorrow... :winkold:
  4. I stand by my previous comments about us not being relegated and renewing my season tickets. The odds that we will be relegated instead of those below us statistically against and still well in our favour. Does that mean we are doing well no it doesnt but Frankly Villa "fans" like you make me nauseous. Having a go at the owners and management is fine but there is no need to attack other fans - the mess we are in is not of the fans making. Thinking we will stay up and renewing season tickets does not mean people like me are any less angry at the club ownership or McCleish. Having followed my club for decades doesn't make me a fool but your attack on those that don't agree with your hysterical comments does show you are a bit of a clearing in the woods and that you need to grow some. I havnt attacked anyone, I was mearly pointing out that SO MANY FANS LIKE YOURSELF are too quick to shoot REALISTIC fans like MYSELF down when we mention that relegation IS a possibility. It is only our opinion that it could be a very high possibility that we could actually go down. And calling someone a Clearing in the woods over a internet forum shows you have really grown a pair dosent it mate...? you have sort of been slightly hypocritical saying I am attacking fans to then go and do that? brilliant... Hilarious......... Don't start again mate, Please?
  5. Im still depondant mate, although I feel some of my comments on here tonight have been taken WAY out of context. I just feel that the form we are in, and the way we set up and dont really attack teams could make for a real hard 7 games. With other actually seem to be right up for it. It actually worrys me when I look at the table and the teams below us have either won more games, or are level with us on wins or within 1, we have just drawn a few more than them.
  6. Thank God for the Wiemann Goal in the last minute against Fulham, although it is was a really scappy goal. It could end up goal of the season as far as im concerned.

Do you REALLY need to SHOUT to EMPHASIZE your WORDS? Do you really need to comment? Does it really matter how i've typed it out? Does it bother you that much? Jesus... there are some touchy people on this site.

  9. Maybe its because they are at the match and their first instinct isnt to run home to post on VT. Or maybe they havent changed their minds so dont need to "grow a pair" just because they dont subscribe to your opinion. We wont be relegated this season, next season is a different matter. How do you KNOW we wont be relegated? can you see into the future? Cause whether you like it or not....there is a REALISTIC chance we could go down now...thats not my opinion mate, its the true cold truth of it!
  10. Have you bothered to read the comments on the last 2 pages. I and 6 other forum members have admitted to changing our minds, and now accept we are in a big relegation fight which will carry until May. All we need is 1 win and 1 draw, but with the injuries and lack of form and quality in the squad, that is looking unlikely. Sorry mate, I looked throught he last few pages and only yourself and Villabromesgrove have actually admitted to dismissing relagation to changing your minds... The last few weeks there have been alot of fans on here slating people for even thinking it could be a possibilty. Funny how they don't come shouting when it does become more possible. Some people need to to grow a pair and admit they could have been wrong and not be so sure of themselves whilst slating others for having an opinion.

  12. Lerner, if we go down I will NEVER EVER FORGIVE YOU. Save some face and get this clown out now, save us from relegation and in the summer clear out the whole f##king board. THEY ARE ALL F##KING THIS GREAT CLUB OVER. What happened to us competing for europe at the start of the season? this statement alone should be enough to sack Mcknobhead. Cause we couldn't be further from competing. Grow a pair of bollocks and admit you have made a mistake you spoilt TW@T. Your ignorance and stubbonace is getting us NOWHERE!
  13. Where have all the people gone that said "we wont go down" ,"there is no chance that the teams below us can all pick up enough points to cathc us". well, here we are, hovering right above them with a absolute shocking fixture list. Im sorry to say it but really think we could be one of the favorites to go down now. QPR look like they have clicked, Bolton have found some spirit, Wigan going to go on a run like they did last season towards the end of the season, whilst we keep rolling over and having out belly tickled.RELEGATION is very much on the cards now lads. Lerner, your a f##king prick, as far as im concerned you deserve everything that is coming your way. Premiership experiance, meh.... what a f##king joke of an appointment and you havent even got the balls to rectify your decision... Gutless Tw@t. And ANYONE who had already renewed their season ticket, Well, bigger the fools you!
  14. This ^^^^... I think the sooner fans realise that if they keep turning up the longer it could take to get rid of him. If EVERY season ticket holder was to hold off for a month or so from buying their ticket, along with sending a letter to the club stating they wont be renewing maybe then the club would understand. But as long as people renew, the longer he could be here. At the end of the day, they dont really care if you turn up and leave unhappy, they have what they want, money in the coffers. The price is still the same whether you walk away happy or sad from the ground. If fans are unhappy, they only way the club will really listen is when it affects THEM- not you. Even if everybody sent the same letter, written out in the correct manner explaining their reason for not renewing the club would have no option but to get rid of McMuppet.
  15. Not sure how to do links, but if you go on youtube look for "spider prank on fanny". Its not what you think...there is no sexual referance to the video, but a lad Practical joke on a lad nicknamed Fanny.
  16. I don't live in the Midlands, but I would imagine it hurts like hell for those that do. How we have fallen over the last 2 years especially. We have always been the top team of the midlands but I am more concerned with where our great club is heading. There doesn't seem to be any positives anymore, the club and staff seem happy to except mediocrity and just seem to be happy if we maintain premiership status. Sad sad times to be a Villa fan, and really can't see them getting any better over the next few years.
  17. Wow firstly, I can see why things went bad. There seems to be a lot of blame and resentment (in bold)!!! You seem to hold a fair bit against her. But I am only hearing one side so it maybe 2 way. If you bought her out and she moved out where would your kids go? Citezens Advice would be the best place to start. Firstly, I can see why you may think that based on my post. But you are wrong. I dont hold anything against her, just trying to point out the facts. I see it as my duty to supply and provide for my family. But my point is, why should I bother when she cant show me any affection or respect? Realationship are based around working together as a team, and she doesnt contribute anything to our relationship. I havent got a problem in working and ploughing all my money into the family, as I have stated I see it as my duty. But we never do anything as a family, we never go out together because she "cant be arsed" and just wants to sit at home watching TV of an evening. When I say I have worked really hard on the house, I meant that literally. I would come home from work and get straight on with decorating, the last 2 years have seen me completley revamp the house. Spending alot of our hard earned cash to do so. I just wanted some advise about what the Law is if we do split, As i would really like to keep the house as I am sure someone on hear must have been in a similar situation. I was kinda hoping for some advise rather than you people making assumptions and calling me a control freak!. as I am not. I just wanted a happy family where we do things together, maybe go out on a saturday evening and enjoy each others company. Surely thats what marrages and families or about no? If my wife is not interested in any of that how can we call ourselves a family if we never do anything together. Its more like a friendship than a marriage. When I said I have tried everything I meant that in a positive way. I have found time for the family, I have made every effort to make things work. I dont go out a get rat-arsed and spunk loads of cash on crap like most blokes, I help out around the house etc so she doesnt feel that I am taking advantage of her. I know alot of woman moan about how lazy their blokes are and all they are interseted in is beer and sport. I am not like that and try to make life as easy as possible for her because it should be a team effort. I was looking for some advise, rather than people jumping to the wrong conclusion and making assumptions. I have declared I would like the kids to stay with me in the family home, or they could leave with her if she found another place. At the end of the day the kids are the most important in this and dont want them to go through more than they have to. Would you not be slightly resentful if you hard tried so hard to make things work only for your wife to show no respect of affection for you? As I have stated, relationship are a team effort aren't they?
  18. Hey everyone. Could someone please give me some advise what happens when you get divorsed? Unfortunatley it looks like myself and my wife have come to the end of the road, I have tried really hard to make things work. she just doesnt seem interested anymore. We have been together for 17 years (8 of them married) and we have been in our house for the last 11 years. Like I said, I have done everything I can to make things work, she just doesnt show any respect for me or signs of wanting to be with me anymore. We never do anything together (not for the want of me trying) and very rarely have in depth conversation. I have always paid for everything, she has had a part time job for the last 5 years and I let her keep her wages for her to do as she likes, I pay for the mortgage, bills, and everything else. We dont have any debt (apart from the remainder of our mortgage) and have a fair bit of capital in the bank due to me being sensible with money over the years. The last 5 years I have spent a massive amount of money on the house and would really like to keep it due to all my hard work. We have 2 children (15 and 9 years of age) and would always make sure they are fully looked after. But like I said, I really want to keep the house and buy her out if I can?. I suppose what im asking is can this be done without getting the courts involved? My understanding of it is, if we can come to an amicable agreement then the court will go with it. But some people I have spoken to say that I will loose everything because there are children involved, and that my missus will get to keep the house and kids and I will still have to pay for the mortgage? Is that correct? I certainly wouldn't be able to afford paying the mortgage and rent on another property at the same time. But also know she wouldn't be able to pay for the mortgage let alone all the bills aswell. At present I have told her that I don't want a battle through the courts, and did not want to put the kids through anymore pain that it is already going to be. I have told her we can split all of our savings (which I saved for our future) 50/50 and I will take a loan or remortgage to buy her out 50% of the remaining mortgage. This seems resonable to me as she has never paid anything into the house or brought anything for it. Can anyone advise me (if anyone has had a similar experience) please. Your input on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Just watched "Woman in Black", cant understand the hype it's recieving, thought it was absolute tripe to be honest.
  20. Well said that man... couldn't have put it better myself. The fans who didn't enjoy MON's tenure here and continuously stated we were a hoofball side and he took us as far as he could are the ones that Mr O'Leary were referring to as fickle. I cant believe the stick he gets from some of our so-called fans when all he done here was make us a MUCH better side than the previous decade and gave most of us some of the best seasons we have had (or are going to have in that matter) for a very long time. Some people need to get real. Theres an old saying, you dont know what you have till its gone! some people just cant admit defeat though and admit that they were wrong, and will argue to the high heavens we are still better off without him because we couldn't push on with him....hows that working out lads?
  21. I know every case if different, but the question needs to be asked to what the F##k he done with his salary when he was in the forces? As many have said, they choose their careers and if this guy was a Sgt and had served his FULL service he should have been more than capable of affording a house whilst he was in the services. My cousin is in the services and has recently served in Afgan, he is not even thirty yet, but owns his own home, drives a exceptional motor, goes on various holidays whenever he is on leave and its all because he has his head screwed on. He does recieve subsidised food whilst in the forces, he does get a very decent clothing allowance (which he hardly needs because when he is on duty he gets kitted out with the relevant uniform), he evens gets free fags....and he dont even smoke! So its not all hardship on their front. I know they serve their country and all and at some point may have to fight on the front line, but surely that can been seen as "it comes with the job"...as many have stated. Not meaning to sound arrogant or insensitive or anything, but when you vertually live for FREE for the MAJORITY of your career, I find it hard to believe that you dont plan for the future with the wages that you bank week in week out. Squaddies havent got a reputation for liking a drink for no reason you know, I certainly know a few that piss it right up all the time, do they deserve to live for free after service because they couldn't set aside a few quid here and there? Like I said, not meaning to sound off or anything, but I just cant believe they get as hard a deal as they make out sometimes without looking at the bigger picture.
  22. I think this also. With a spine of Robinson, Samba, (yes I know he has gone AWOL), Hoilett and Yakubu, they should not be where they are in the league. Would happily welcome those players at Villa Park in summer. They have a few other good players also. On paper, and yes I know football is not played on paper, they are the strongest of the bottom lot. They score loads of goals too, especially at home. I think they stick 2 or 3 past us quite easily You actually believe we will keep a clean sheet? You taking bets on that? as im in if you are.... Yakubu has the potential to tear our defence a new one!. as long as its not as bad as last seasons no show where we might aswell have **** off home after the kickoff, one of the most piss poor performances ive ever seen that was, equally as bad as some of the shite weve played this season. fwiw blackburn have scored 19 goals at home and conceded 26, and weve scored 20 away from VP, so i reckon it will be a 0-0
  23. Agreed mate, but at least Ellis corrected those decisions eventually. Something tells me Randy hasn't got the bottle...
  24. In my opinion "yes" Learner has done alot around the Villa facilities, New Holte Pub, Bodymoore Heath etc, but I would have much preffered to watch my beloved Villa become bigger for football reasons rather that looking the part with the facilities but taking backward steps regarding football. I think he had proved since MON has gone that the 5 year plan no longer exists (no matter what he says in his ST letter), and is more than happy with just maintaining premiership status (something thats not even a certainty anymore). I would have much preffered watching a football team going places than seeing a nice pub on the way to Villa park and exceptional training facilities... Randy needs to understand the football comes first...Anything else can wait.
