  1. To play devils advocate for a moment, you could easily counter that by stating that McLeish has only managed Birmingham, a team constantly fighting relegation, and ourselves, a team completely gutted of all quality, in the prem. The above statistic would be damning had he managed a decent side in the prem, as it stands he is yet to do that. As it stands, he will NEVER do that....cause he is shite!
  2. Sorry! Cant buy into that, we have some good players (Albeit not as many as the past), they just are not being guided in the right direction... or utilised to their strengths... the manager is responsible for these things, and Unfortunately for us and the players Mcleish is the manager hence no direction or real game plan. The quicker he goes and we get a manger with some sort of charisma who is prepared to work to the players strengths the better. Mcleish just hasnt got a clue.
  3. So according to the poll at the top, half the season ticket holders on here will not be renewing... mostly because of Mcleish or Lerner.... if that is a true reflection on ALL season ticket holders surely someone fromt the Villa will have to pick up on the fact that renewals are drastically down and their hands will be forced into taking some form of action.... After all, football is a business nowadays and if your business is losing 50% of its customers something has to change in order to bring them back. I would suggest that the club will sooner or later have to realise that Mcleish needs to go (if these numbers are accurate) in order to bring fans back through the gates. Either that or the club is going to runs ITSELF into the ground for not doing something about the problem. Its their call at the end of the day, but if I had a multi million pound business and I was losing 50% of my custom I would be looking for my people to address the problem as a prioity...
  4. Grdner on for warnock....though that might have been n'zog?
  5. Did I miss something? if I recall we never had a penalty against Liverpool? He should have been awarded one, but he didn't win one!
  6. QPR struggle to finish a game with 11 players on the pitch so they might find it a bit difficult even against a Man Citeh side with nothing to play for. True mate. But I just think if Man City have nothing to play for on the last day and QPR could survive by getting a result then they might actually beat them. Just my theory on it mind.
  7. I think QPR could get a result against city ont he last day, I mean City look like they have lost out on the Title now, and will have nothing to play for on the last day. So I think a result could be in QPR's favour there.
  8. I didn't mean they were poor like that mate, a poor team cant win the title...But as far as some of the other Man Utd teams Ferguson has created, I dont think its as exciting then if you like.
  9. Take your time mate, first establish the car that YOU want, spec included. Then spend time comparing prices around the country (via autotrader and other sites)...they can be very high in some areas compared to others. Its worth veiwing a few before you even start thinking about parting with any cash. I spent ages looking for my car(8 months), looked at at least 10 I reckon and there was always something I found that I knew would niggle me if I brought it. (be it higher mileage tahn I wanted/little marks or a scuff mark etc) Eventually I found the one that was just right, Mint condition, VERY VERY low milege, Top spec. And knew I had to have it. If you by the first one you see because of convienience I can assure you that a month or 2 will pass and you will see better one for sale somewhere and you wish you would have waited. When your spending a decent amount of cash on a car, you want to make sure you dont start regretting it after a short amount of time. So my advise would be, be patient, do your research and the right one will come along.
  10. Congratulations to Man Utd for sealing the Premiership title again today...I know they havent actually won it yet but I would put my house on them securing it now. I really didnt want to see City win it, and nobody else has the criteria to do it, so Man Utd deserve it again. Not the best United team (by a country mile) that Ferguson has had but just goes to show you what a manager can do who installs confidence into his players and making them believe that they can beat anyone on their day. Yes people moan they get alot of decisions their way, but you can't really knock the way they always bounce back from conceding goals or losing matches. So I would will be the first Villa fan on here to congratulate them on yet another Premiership title. Just think how different things may have been if we had taken that first Premiership Title back in 92. It could well of seen us push on like they have. Doubt it very much, but you never know.
  11. At least results went our way today, unlike last weekend. Shite way of thinking that we are relying on other teams not picking up points but this is what it has come down to for us at the moment. How sad is that? Just cant wait till the season is over now(providing we will survive) and hopefully Randy will admit his mistake and sack Mcleish. If not I think fans will really turn on Lerner and he will realise what a fan backlash really is.
  12. I said before the game that I would be happy with a point, just a shame we couldnt hold on. But when you play so deep trying to defend a 1-0 lead you are always vulnerable to conceed eventually. We (I mean Mcleish) never seems to learn from our mistakes.... How many times have we done that this season?
  13. I would take the most boring 0-0 ever right now if I had the chance. And before anyone asks, no I'm not Alex Mcleish....lol. Its all about points on the board now,I just think we could get hammered today. So would be more than happy to take a point.
  14. Wasn't this the game when we lost 4-3 yorke getting a hat-trick?
  15. Villa are fall guys to every team or player that hasn't won, hasn't scored, hasn't had a penalty given, hasn't kept a clean sheet or whatever. If one thing is almost certain it's that Villa are the team to play if you want to put an end to something long term and negative. Yes Liverpool have been shit in the league since the start of the year and yes they are ripe for beating but I won't hold my breath on this happening for us whilst McLeish is in charge. I ain't gonna argue wit you there mate, lol. I am just hoping and praying that next weekend we can break that spell of being the "fall guys". Would love nothing more than to extend Liverppols run of crapiness and end ours. We could certainly do with it...3 points next weekend would be very welcom indeed, but like you said, I won't be holding my breath.
  16. Lets just hope we can continue Liverpools bad run next week, 3 points out of that would do us nicely, they have been awful lately. Just hope they dont end that tragic form they are in against us, we have been known to be the "nice guy" against other teams in the past in awful form. Please dont let it happen next week.
  17. Just watched that, Jesus that man is off his head. Hes also states "last week Luis turned one in with his chest and the referee gave a free kick"... open your eyes Kenny FFS.. I just hope we beat them next week, for our own sake, and so they continue this awful run they are on. But as a few have stated, we seem to be the team to play to end bad runs, I hope to god this isn't another occasion.
