  1. Love my Job to bits, I work in ship design. I worked on the shop floor building them for 8 years, then moved into the tecnichal office where I have been for the last 8-9 years. Worked on some amazing ships rangeing from cargo vessles/ferries to super yachts for multi millionaires. Currently worked on the New Aircraft carriers for britain and wouldn't want to change my job for anything. The people around me help the office environment as its like having another family only they are at work. I get so much satisfaction from it on a daily basis as there is always something different to see to. I have recently been made up to a group leader (right hand man to my boss) and am regually left in charge when he is away or attending meetings/confrences etc. Although there is great pressure to meet targets on a regular basis but I am one of those lucky people that thrive under presure as the results can be very rewarding. And when you get to walk around a multi millionaires playtoy it is absolutley amazing to see the money involved in these vessles.
  2. Fair enough mate, Barton is always going to get a "mixed bag" as far as people want him or not.
  3. Got to agree with you richard. Especially a player like Barton, great passer, good shot on him, can tackle. As some have pointed out that his previous history is not that great, but cant recall him in the headlines for oing anything wrong in the past 18 months- 2 years... I would have him, even if we had to offer a 1 year contract with the option of a extension dependant on behaviour. Could be just the sort of player we need in the middle of the park. IMO
  4. hhhmmmm, Things that p1ss me off but shouldn't? -my missus!
  5. Im not arguing mate, just pointing out a fact that I was mearly replying to someone elses opinion, but we all know on here that your OWN opinion counts for s##t as far as some are concerned. Very rarely do I post on here, I just normally read the posts in fits of laughter at what some people think. Now I remember why I stopped posting with certain individuals just looking out for a arguement.
  6. .....what the ****? Cant really argue with that mate can you? The club was more stable under o'neill than I and MANY others can ever remember it being, with 3 consecutive finishes of 6th and really look like breaking the top 4 in 2 of them seasons. Yes I know some people think he spunked a load of cash, but all the blame cant land at his feet, there must have been somebody sanctioning the deals. And I cant really remember ANY villa fans moaning when we brought the likes of Sidwell, Beye, etc etc. At the time everyone seemed happy that we were building a squad that could push us on those extra couple of places. I can also remember people moaning how long the deals took to go through, and if I remember rightly this was also chalked down as MON fault also. Funny hey! And his point about us finishing in the top half at the moment is not far off in my opinion, where do you expect us to finish with how things stand at the moment? just cant see what point you were trying to make with that comment. Not sure what any of that has to do with Charles N'Zogbia? Which was exactly my point Wiggy. Thank you. Im not sure what any of ths has to do with us having a bid for N'Zogbia rejected? Just more pointless negative babble that weve heard a thousand times before. Why not just create a seperate thread for that shit if youre so intent on posting it everywhere? ok mate, keep your knickers on FFS. I was mearly pointing out that I agreed with another forum user and couldn't see what the pointless remark of "what the ****" was suppose to achieve. Jeez.... some people need to get out more... Half the threads on here have gone off on a tangent far worse than that. If it bothers you that much, don't reply, jog on, whatever. Your only winding yourself up in the process. I mearly agreed with someone else, get over it.

Not sure what any of that has to do with Charles N'Zogbia? nothing mate, a bit like 50 other pages of this thread have nothing to do with N'Zogbia, every threaqd always leads to someone having to finger O'Neill for everthing. I was just asking the guy to explain his "what the ****" comment. as to me it was a perfewctly valid point. That ok? In an N'Zogbia thread, it's as unwelcome as the other 50 pages you referenced. so have a go at everyone else who comments aswell then... so a "what the ****" comment that is clearly rude and expresses no point of opinion is ok is it.... ???? Ok mate.

  10. No I for one dont agree with it, someone has already pointed out the likes of Mourinho, Wenger etc had no PL experiance when they joined their clubs. Plenty have had PL Experience, Paul Ince, Robson, Dave Jones, Paul Jewell etc etc etc.... Does this mean they have the everyday credentials to manage Villa then? Just find it crazy to limit our options like this. Yes of course Experiance comes into it, but when your not looking at managers that have done maybe a year or 2 in the Prem and got Relagated in the process I fail to see how these managers can even be considered. Someone like Moyes, yes. the experiance side of things comes into it, he has built a side that regually finishes 5-8.. His teams seem well organised etc etc But when looking at the likes of McClaren, Mcleish I cannot see how PL experience helps their credentials at all...
  11. Cant see what your getting at to be honest.... Whats wrong with Whelen being open to the Press, He HAD given permission for Roberto to speak to us, he DID tell the press that we went about it in the right manner and very proffesionally... and Yes he wants good PR for the Club, what Chairman doesnt? Maybe he really does love Roberto and felt if he said something in the press about how he hopes he stays and that they have worked greatly together over the last couple of years might tempt him to sign the new contract he has prepared for him.... (its worked aint it?) To me he has not stitched us up at all, He just wanted to get his point across of how much he rated HIS manager at the time and if he decides to stay he would be over the moon, but on the other side of things he had agreed to give Roberto the permission to speak to us as he could understand if he was interested...... What is so wrong with that exactly? He could have not given us permission and still gone to press saying we were after Roberto but he hadnt granted permission as he see's us as no bigger than Wigan at the moment... Jeez the guy rates his manager and gives us credit for trying to operate in the correct manner and he has somehow stiched us up? Can I ask you if you actually wanted Roberto Martinez?, cause if you don't it will be even funnier.
  12. I have a Man Utd fan at work that tells me the exact same thing every week we win and that I better enjoy it while it lasts cause when Fergie goes MoN is the only one good enough to replace him. I would be absolutley gutted to lose him but if/when it happens there will be nothing we can do about it. I personnally dont give him the pleasure in reacting and just say whatever happens, happens. But in all honesty I really don't think it is as clear cut as some make out, as people have pointed out that MoN has a great relationship with Randy, something he might not get with the glaziers etc.
  13. I think we should try the christmas tree formation at home, something along the lines of.. --------------------Freidal------------------ Beye-------Cuellar-----Davies------Shorey -------Delph----Petrov-----Reo-coker------ ------------Milner---------Young------------- --------------------Carew-------------------- Doesnt have to be those players as everybody has different opinions on starting line-ups, this is just an example. But it doesnt mean changing from 4-5-1 away from home to 4-4-2 at home. The only real difference is that young and milner are more central than when we are away from home. In my opinion I think this could work quite well for us at home, obviously some people my disagree. Young and Milner could still get out wide when required and players like Delph could easily be swapped with the likes of Sidwell/Gardner, Carew for Heskey/Agbonlahor etc without to much disruption to the team/formation even when we revert to 4-5-1...
  14. i still dont think that would cut it... i think his relationship with MoN will never br the same again. IF,,and its a big if, Gareth stays im sure he will be proffesional about it and work hard, like people say, he has his england place that he has fought so hard for at stake. But i dont think he would be a starter, the first couple of months he would be used as a bit part player if at all..I have already said this, but if he stayed i would give him the number 18 shirt (18 mill and all that), then would not use him until Liverpool home... 3rd game in.. and tell him, today you prove how sorry you are.
