    We signed Harewood on a permanent basis. Habib Beye. Gabor Kiraly and Didier Agathe. Robert Pires. This is nothing new. And none of them signings came close to being as bad as Holt. Those signing were all terrible and, for the main part were picked for the starting XI. GH is designed for bench cover and hasn't played a second for us yet, so how have you come to that conclusion? Did Lambert tell you that?

    Lambert failed to sign a leader on the pitch again this summer. It was what we were crying out for all last season.

    No it did not. Lack of finances cost Wigan their place in the league. They had been running the gauntlet for a good few years and finally ran out of luck. Thankfully for them they had a great cup win to soften the blow. First half of that sounds very familiar BTW.

    If we are not properly competeing in the FA cup what are we aiming for as our main goal? 17th best team in the league?

    If we go down after our 4th year struggling at the bottom it will be deserved. It will not be because of a few cup games but to do with the owner manager and players.

    I said it last year about this year and I still think the same. If we are in a relegation battle come March or April I would rather we went down. Every year for the last 3 we scrape by with little or no improvement. Dropping down to come back up (which I know is very difficult before people start)my be the boot up the rear we need.
