I would hope for more than half. When Liverpool sold Torres the money went on replacements and when spurs sold bale they didn't just spend half the fee. When you bring a superstar into the club and sell him for big money you have to get that money spent on bringing quality in otherwise you're not progressing. thats exactly my thoughts, although id add "should finish 9th-11th if they bought in a £10m AMC" not sure how / why we deserve better, arsenal, 2nd in the table are scratching round trying to get average players on loan, january is a shit time to spend big cash unless you really need to, and where we are we dont really need to for this season Not lookimg to spend big cash. I am an optimistic person and genuinely thought the club would pull some deals off today, I was wrong. Moreover, Lambert indicated yesterday that the club were working on a few deals so this added to my optimism.This was added to what I was told by another source recently, so I felt reasonably confident that we would make a few signings. I am disappointed with the likely outcome, probably more so than you are. But it annoys me when people come out of the woodwork with a “told you so” attitude and begin to label and abuse others, it is not acceptable. I do not mind people replying and questioning my information, but to gloat and abuse is totally wrong. I am an attention seeker just as much as you are one. Thats a pretty good deal for West Ham. The extra 40k a week until the end of the season becomes a very small transfer fee.

Will be very disappointed if he starts tonight. Most of the people who defended this signing did so because he was 'cover for the cover' and wouldn't start many if any games and that we should wait until the end of the window to see who else we brought in before going off on one. So if he starts tonight and sign no one else is signed by deadline friday what would the people who defebded this signing say? Btw I know we signed Bertrand on loan which was a decent bit of business but I dont think it was anyones no.1 priorty prior to the window and kf course it is just a loan.
